As abnormal climates occur frequently around the world, the frequency and intensity of natural disasters are increased. In this study, trends of natural disasters are analyzed and identified the applied technology of smart water grid and digital water management, which are the latest water management systems to respond to climate change. Water-related damages such as typhoons and floods accounted for a large proportion of natural disasters around the world. In the case of Asia, it was found that over the past 50 years, typhoons caused the largest casualties of human life, and the biggest economic loss was caused by floods. In the case of Korea, the biggest economic loss over the past 10 years was disasters caused by floods and typhoons. In order to minimize the damage caused by these disasters, digital water resource technology is being applied worldwide. In this study, application cases of smart water management and digital technologies were investigated. In addition, the application direction of digital water management technology was proposed.

전 세계적으로 이상기후 현상이 빈번히 발생함에 따라 자연재해의 발생빈도와 강도도 더욱 증가하고 있으며, 각종 물 문제도 심화되고 있다. 이 연구에서는 전 세계 및 우리나라의 자연재해 발생 추이를 분석하고, 기후변화에 대응하는 최신 물관리 시스템인 스마트 워터 그리드와 디지털 물 관리의 기술 동향을 파악하였다. 전 세계 자연재해는 태풍과 홍수 등 물과 관련한 피해가 큰 비중을 차지했다. 아시 아의 경우 지난 50년간 태풍으로 인한 인명피해가 가장 컸고, 경제적 손실은 홍수로 인한 피해가 큰 것으로 나타났다. 우리나라의 경우 최근 10년간 가장 큰 경제적 손실은 호우와 태풍에 의한 재해로 나타났다. 이러한 재해 재난의 피해를 최소화하기 위하여 디지털 물 관리 기술이 전 세계적으로 개발되 어 적용되고 있다. 이 연구에서는 스마트 물 관리 및 디지털 물 관리 기술 사례 분석을 기반으로 적용 방향에 대하여 제안하였다.
