As the background of life changes, the perception of sexuality and the perception of sexuality of the elderly is changing. With the improvement of life expectancy, the improvement of the health conditions of the elderly, and the development of sexual science and technology represented by Viagra, these changes are expected to accelerate further. This article argues that the conservative notions of the elderly’s sexuality, deeply entrenched in our society, must be reconsidered. This is because sex and love occupy a very important place in happiness among the elderly. In this regard, it is necessary to take a positive view of elderly people's sexual lives. To this end, we will examine the discussions that have appeared in the literature of philosophy, ethics, sociology, and women's studies and cinema on the sex lives of the elderly. First, we identify the meaning of human sexuality in modern society. Second, we explore the meaning of sexuality and love among the elderly. In addition, we deal with various sexual activities of the elderly people, from Viagra sex to slow sex. Third, we will examine the aspects of sexual discrimination faced by the elderly women and suggest an alternative.

삶의 배경이 변화함에 따라 성에 대한 인식, 그리고 노인의 성에 대 한 인식이 변화하고 있다. 수명 연장이 이루어지고 노인들의 건강상태 가 호전되고, 비아그라로 대표되는 성과학기술이 발전하면서 이런 변 화는 더욱 가속화되리라고 생각된다. 이글은 우리사회에 깊숙이 자리 잡은 노인의 성에 대한 보수적인 관념은 재검토되어야 한다고 주장한다. 노년기의 행복에서 성과 사랑은 매우 중요한 위치를 차지하기 때 문이다. 이런 점에서 노인의 성에 대해 긍정적인 시선으로 바라볼 필 요가 있다. 이를 위해 철학, 윤리학, 사회학, 여성학 문헌에 나타난 논의, 그리고 노인의 성을 다룬 영화들을 검토할 것이다. 구체적으로 첫 째, 현대사회에서 인간의 성과 사랑, 즉 섹슈얼리티의 의미를 규명한다. 둘째, 노인의 성과 사랑이 갖는 의미를 탐색한다. 그리고 비아그라 섹스부터 슬로우 섹스에 이르기까지 노인들의 다양한 성에 대해 알아 본다. 셋째, 성과 관련되어 여성노인들이 감수하고 있는 차별의 양태를 살펴보고, 그 대안을 모색한다.
