The 2022 revised elementary moral curriculum was announced on December 22, 2022. In this paper, I first examined what the competency-centered curriculum based on student agency is, which is the basis for the principle and emphasis of the 2022 revised elementary moral curriculum, and the results of applying these principles to the nature, goals, content system, and achievement standards of the 2022 revised elementary moral curriculum were critically reviewed. In particular, according to the 2022 revised curriculum design criteria there was a focus on reviewing critically and suggesting supplementary points as to whether the core ideas, three categories (knowledge and understanding, process and function, value and attitude), which are components of the content system, and achievement standards were properly applied in accordance with their characteristics.

2022 개정 초등 도덕과 교육과정이 2022년 12월 22일에 고시되었다. 본 논문에서는 먼저 2022 개정 초등 도덕과 교육과정 개정의 원리와 중점의 근거가 되는 ‘학습자 주도성에 기반한 역량중심의 교육과정’이 무엇인지를 살펴보고, 이러한 원리가 2022 개정 초등 도덕과 교육과정 의 성격과 목표, 내용 체계 및 성취기준에 적용된 결과를 비판적으로 검토하였다. 특히 2022 개정 교과 교육과정 설계 근거에 따라 내용 체 계 구성 요소인 핵심 아이디어, 3가지 범주(지식ㆍ이해, 과정ㆍ기능, 가치ㆍ태도) 및 성취기준이 그 특성에 부합하게 적절하게 적용되었는 지를 비판적으로 검토하고 보완점을 제시하는데 초점을 두었다.
