The SF genre has been most actively responsible for questions about post-humans. It was just an ‘imagination’, but the fiction was actually close to a kind of prediction. The nature of ‘science’ implied by the name of the genre was not irrelevant to the actual progress of mankind. Therefore, the story of hard science fiction could have been an imagination and orientation of actual scientific development. And this is the same for posthuman discourse. Posthumans are aspects that have various possibilities, not a single form. Interestingly, “Space Sweeper” shows both the two representative forms of posthuman, artificial intelligence and improvement in biological humans. “Space Sweeper” is meaningful as a mainstream movie about the SF genre and the first attempt at a Korean-style space opera. This article aims to focus on posthumans appearing as key characters in the SF film “Space Sweeper”. Through this, it is to analyze the issues of posthuman as a new subject of ‘human beings, thereafter’.

SF장르는 포스트휴먼에 대한 질문을 가장 적극적으로 담당해왔다. 그것은 ‘상상’에 불과한 것이었으나, 그 허구는 실상 일종의 예측에 가까운 것이었다. 하드 SF의 이야기는 실제 과학 발전의 아이디어이자 지향이 될 수 있었을 만큼 장르의 명칭이 내포하고 있는 ‘과학(science)’의 속성은 실제 인류의 진보과정과 무관하지 않았고, 이것은 포스트휴먼 담론에 있어서도 마찬가지이다. 포스트휴먼이란 하나의 단일한 형태가 아닌 다양한 가능성을 지니는 양태들인데, 흥미롭게도 <승리호>는 ‘인공지능’과 ‘생물학적 인간에 대한 개선’이라는 포스트휴먼의 대표적 두 가지 형태를 모두 보여주고 있다. <승리호>는 SF장르에 대한 대중 영화이자 한국형 스페이스오페라에 대한 첫 시도라는 의미를 갖는다. 이 글은 SF영화 <승리호>에서 핵심 캐릭터로 등장하는 포스트휴먼을 통해 ‘인간, 그 이후’의 새로운 주체로서 포스트휴먼에 대한 논점들을 분석해보고자 한다.
