The purpose of this study is to derive lessons to be applied to Korean military mission-type command through the Russian–Ukraine War and KCTC training cases. As for the research method, literature studies and case studies on mission-type command were applied, and the scope of case studies was limited to the Russian–Ukraine War and KCTC training cases. In the Russian –Ukraine War, the Russian military is undergoing a lot of trial and error by following the Soviet Union's controlled command On the other hand, Ukrainian troops are performing excellent operations by mastering mission-type command at a combat training center under the U.S. European Command with the help of the United States. The Korean military is actively applying mission-type command in the KCTC training process. In order to successfully carry out mission-type command, above all, a performance base for mission-type command must be established. As a result of analyzing the status of mission-type command that appeared in the Russian–Ukraine War and the KCTC training process, The direction of development of the Korean military's mission-type command is as follows. First, the direction of development of Korean military mission-type command should include a mission-type command training program in the KCTC training course. Second, mission-type order should be used between education and training and major incidental activities. Third, it is necessary to develop creative combat performance plans suitable for the operational environment to improve decentralized combat capabilities. Fourth, it is necessary to develop a flexible mission-type command technique that can apply appropriate leadership in consideration of low-ranking person.

본 논문의 목적은 러시아-우크라이나 전쟁과 KCTC 훈련 사례를 통해서 한국군 임무형지 휘에 적용할 교훈을 도출하는데 있다. 연구방법은 임무형지휘에 대한 문헌연구와 사례연구 를 적용하였으며, 사례연구의 범위는 러시아-우크라이나 전쟁과 KCTC 훈련사례로 한정하 였다. 러시아군은 러시아-우크라이나 전쟁을 수행하면서 구소련의 통제형지휘를 답습함으로써 많은 시행착오를 겪고 있다. 반면 우크라이나군은 미국의 도움으로 2016년부터 미 유럽사 령부 예하 전투훈련센터에서 임무형지휘를 숙달함으로써 작전수행 간 임무형지휘를 효과적 으로 수행하고 있다. 한국군은 실전을 방불케 하는 KCTC 훈련과정에서 임무형지휘를 적극 적용하고 있다. 임무형지휘를 성공적으로 수행하기 위해서는 무엇보다도 임무형지휘를 위한 수행기반이 구축되어야 한다. 우크라이나 전쟁과 KCTC 훈련과정에서 나타난 임무형지휘 실태를 분석한 결과, 한국군이 모색해야 할 발전방향은  ① 임무형지휘 훈련 프로그램을 KCTC 훈련과 정에 포함하여 실시, ② 교육훈련 및 주요 부대활동 간 임무형명령 사용, ③ 작전환경에 부 합한 창의적 전투수행방안을 개발하여 분권화 전투능력 향상, ④ 부하들의 성숙도를 고려하 여 적절한 리더십을 적용할 수 있는 융통성 있는 임무형지휘 기법 개발 등이다.
