This study conducted a bibliographical analysis of a 100-chapter version presumed to be the first draft of Sulmongswaeeon(述夢瑣言), which had not been studied in academia, and reviewed a 87-chapter version Sulmongswaeeon which is another version of Sulmongswaeeon. Sulmongswaeeon is a collection of stories about dreams written by Layman Wolchang Kim Dae-hyeon (金大鉉, ?∼1870). Currently, the discussion on Wolchang Geosa Kim Dae-hyeon or Sulmongswaeeon is not active compared to its importance. Due to this reason, in this paper, the bibliographical matters such as the form, content, and composition of the 100-chapter version were studied in detail first. Through the comparison of the 100-chapter version and the 87-chapter version, after the study, it was inferred that the 100-chapter version preceded the 87-chapter version. In addition, in the process of transitioning from the 100-chapter version to the 87-chapter version, 13 chapters included in the 100 chapters were deleted, the title of 20 chapters was changed, and some unnecessary words and sentences were deleted while editing and correcting the book, so it shows a tendency for the writing to be refined. On the other hand, many different versions of Sulmongswaeeon were published in printed form and actively distributed and seemed to have had quite a repercussion among modern Confucian and Buddhist intellectuals.

본 연구는 그동안 학계에서 연구되지 않았던 ｢述夢瑣言｣의 초고로 추정되는 100章本에 대한 서지적 분석과 87장본과의 이본 검토를 진행한 것이다. ｢술몽쇄언｣은 月窓居士 金大鉉(?∼1870)의 저술로 꿈에 관한 이야기를 모은 것이다. 현재 월창거사 김대현이나 ｢술몽쇄언｣에 대한 논의는 그 중요성에 비해 활발하지 못한 편이다. 따라서 본고에서는 우선 100장본 ｢술몽쇄언｣의 형태와 내용, 구성 등의 서지사항부터 자세히 고찰하였다. 그 결과 100장본과 87장본의 이본 비교를 통해 100장본이 선행함을 추론하였다. 또한 100장본이 87장본으로 이행하는 과정에서 100장본에 수록되어 있던 13편이 삭제되었으며, 편목이 변경된 경우도 20건이 있고, 편집 교정의 과정에서 일부 글자와 문장이 산삭되면서 글이 整齊된 경향을 보인다. 한편, ｢술몽쇄언｣은 다수의 이본이 존재하는데, 활자본으로 간행되어 활발하게 유통되었으며 근대의 유․불가 지식인들 사이에서 반향이 있었던 것으로 추정하였다.
