From the cultural diversity perspective, the new paradigm for supporting Korean traditional arts, can help us avoiding from these two narrow ideologies. This article aims to make the general mapping how the cultural policy supporting the Korean traditional will get new paradigm to have initiatives for Korean wave in arts, and establish the practical issues on the policy of government. 주지한대로 최근 몇 년 사이 한류가 이루어낸 가시적인 성과는 가장 주목할 만한 글로벌 문화현상 중의 하나일 것이다. ‘BTS’, ‘블랙핑크’, <기생충>, <미나리>, <오징어게임>, <지옥> 등 이른바 케이 콘텐츠에 대한 전지구인들의 열광은 해외 언론의 주목을 받기에 충분하다. 그런 데 더 주목할 것은 상업적인 대중문화 콘텐츠에서 불고 있는 한류현상 뿐 아니라 문학, 클래식, 무용, 전통예술 등 순수예술 분야에서 일고 있 는 한류도 대중문화의 한류 못지않게 대단하다는 점이다. 그동안 한류를 문화민족주의와 문화자본의 논리로서 설명하던 방식 에서 벗어나 새로운 방향전환과 개념정의가 필요한 시점이다. 이러한 문제를 극복하는 대안으로 한류를 글로벌 문화 안에 부상하 는 새로운 다양성의 문화로 볼 필요가 있다. 문화다양성 정책의 관점에 서 전통예술 분야에 대한 새로운 지원정책의 모색들은 문화민족주의와 문화자본의 논리를 넘어서 한류의 지속가능한 발전을 위한 정책을 구상 하는 데 있어서 새로운 인식론적 전환을 통한 전통예술의 지원정책의 모색은 매우 중요한 과제이다. 문화다양성의 논리로서 전통예술의 선도적 역할은 기존의 민족문화 의 고취와 세계적 위상 확립이라는 전통적인 지원정책과 다른 전략을 가지고 있다. 그것은 전통예술의 가치와 위상, 역량을 강화하여 콘텐츠 한류와 예술한류의 최근 흐름 안에서 전통예술이 경쟁력을 갖게 하는 것과 전통예술이 세계 문화다양성의 장에서 더 많이 소개되고 교류할 수 있는 기반을 만드는 것이다. 민족문화예술의 고취와 문화유산의 보 전이라는 전통적인 지원방식에서 벗어나 문화다양성의 관점에서 전통 예술은 새로운 지원정책을 수립할 필요가 있다. 문화다양성에 기반 한 전통예술의 선도적 역할을 위해 전통예술의 혁신적인 지원정책으로 “전통예술 미래를 위한 장기 지원체계 구축”, “전통예술의 글로벌 가치 확산을 위한 혁신 플랫폼 조성”, “새로운 문화 환경에 대응하는 전통예술의 디지털 혁신”, “문화민족주의의 시각을 넘어서는 문화다양성 실현의 장”을 중요한 방향으로 제시하고자 한다.
