With the recent emphasis placed on the Global Value Chain (GVC) in the field of international business, there has been growing attention for sustainable management encompassing not only the economic performance of firms participating in GVC activities but also their environmental and social performance. Presenting international entrepreneurial orientation as a leading factor in sustainable GVC performance, this study aims to investigate the effects of international entrepreneurial orientation on sustainable GVC performance. In addition, the purpose of this study is to examine the moderating effects of social capital, such as structural, relational, and cognitive capital, on the relationship between international entrepreneurial orientation and sustainable GVC performance. To this end, a survey was conducted with Korean manufacturing exporters in Pusan and South Gyeongsang regions, and hypotheses were verified based on the collected final 205 samples. As a result, it was confirmed that all the three sub-factors of international entrepreneurial orientation have positive effects on sustainable GVC performance. Additionally, among the social capital types, structural and cognitive capital showed significant and positive moderating effects on the relationship between international entrepreneurial orientation and sustainable GVC performance. This study have academic implications in expanding the leading factor of GVC performance focused on the network perspective to international entrepreneurial orientation and examining the moderating roles of social capital. This study also provides managerial implicatoins in suggesting that it is necessary for firms participating in GVC to take a strategic approach to achieving sustainable GVC performance through international entrepreneurial orientation and that positive effects of international entrepreneurial orientation on sustainable GVC performance can become greater when further utilizing social capital.

최근 국제경영분야에서 글로벌가치사슬(GVC)의 중요성이 부각되고 있으며, 특히 이러한 GVC 활동의 성과와 관련해 참여 기업들 의 경제적 성과 뿐 아니라 환경적 및 사회적성과의 개념을 포괄하는 지속가능경영에 대한 요구가 높아지고 있다. 본 연구는 국제기업 가지향성을 지속가능한 GVC성과의 선행요인으로 제시하여 GVC지속가능 성과에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 실증적으로 규명하고자한 다. 나아가 국제기업가지향성과 지속가능한 GVC 성과관계에서 사회적자본(구조적자본, 관계적자본, 인지적자본)의 조절효과를 함께 살펴보는데 연구목적이 있다. 이를 위해 부산･경남 제조기업을 대상으로 설문조사를 하였고, 최종 회수된 205개의 설문지를 바탕으 로 연구가설을 검증하였다. 분석결과, 국제기업가지향성이 GVC 지속가능 성과에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것이 확인되었다. 또 한 사회적자본 중 구조적자본 및 인지적자본이 국제기업가지향성과 GVC 지속가능 성과관계에 유의한 정(+)의 조절효과가 있음이 확 인되었다. 본 연구는 네트워크 관점에 초점이 맞춰진 GVC성과의 선행요인을 국제기업가지향성으로 확장하고, 나아가 사회적자본의 조절효과를 함께 살펴보았다는 점에서 연구의 의의가 있는 것으로 판단된다. 또한 본 연구는 GVC 참여기업에게 최고경영자의 국제 기업가지향적 역량 발휘를 통해 지속가능한 GVC 성과달성을 위한 전략적 접근이 필요함을 시사하며, 더불어 사회적자본 활용이 함 께 제고될 때 국제기업가지향성이 지속가능한 GVC 성과에 미치는 긍정적인 영향이 더 커질 수 있음을 제시하였다는 점에서 실무적 인 시사점이 있는 것으로 기대된다.
