The purpose of this study was to investigate the moderating role of involvement in the metaverse technology acceptance of professional sports fans. In detailed, this study analyzed the effect of compatability, complexity, innovativeness and self-efficacy on intention to use, and examined the moderating effect of involvement in these relationships. Data were collected from 400 sports fans who visited professional football stadiums, and a total of 387 samples were used for practical analysis. Statistical techniques for data analysis were frequency analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, exploratory factor analysis, and moderating regression analysis. the results of this study were as followers: First, compatability and complexity had impacts on intention to use. Second, involvement was found to have moderating effects both the relationship between compatability and intention to use and the relationship between complexity and intention to use. Third, innovativeness and self-efficacy had impacts on intention to use. Fourth, involvement had no moderating effects both the relationship between innovativeness and intention to use and the relationship between self-efficacy on intention to use.

본 연구는 프로스포츠 팬들의 메타버스 기술수용 과정에서 관여도의 조절적 역할에 대해 검증하는 데 그 목적을 두고 있다. 구체적으로는 기술 특성요인 중 적합성과 복잡성, 사용자 특성요인 중 혁신성과 자기효능감이 스포츠 메타버스 이용의도에 미치는 영향력에 대해 검증하고, 이러한 영향관계에서 관여도의 조절효과에 대해 검증하고자 하였다. 자료 수집을 위해 3곳의 프로축구 전용경기장에 방문하여 K리그 관람객 400명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 그 중 387개의 자료를 최종 분석에 사용하였다. 통계처리를 위해 SPSS 27.0 프로그램을 이용한 빈도분석, 신뢰도분석, 탐색적 요인분석, 상관관계 분석, 조절회귀분석을 실시하였으며, 분석을 통해 도출된 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 적합성 과 복잡성은 이용의도에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 관여도는 적합성 및 복잡성과 이용의도의 관계를 유의미하게 조절하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 혁신성과 자기효능감은 이용의도에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났 다. 넷째, 혁신성 및 자기효능감과 이용의도의 영향관계에서 관여도의 조절효과는 유의미하지 않은 것으로 나타났다.
