As humans are social beings, they are inevitably learning being(Homo Eruditio). For adult learners, learning will have different meanings from school-age education. In this study, we tried to explore the learning of adult learners and what their meaning comes from. Through this, we tried to find out what the aspirations, motivations, and participation factors of adult learners are in learning, and to find out the meaning of informal learning. The process of life is a process of learning. If each person leaves their own traces, they will be traces of learning. Adult learners start learning from the position established through institutional education. Some adults begin their new learning through informal learning, rather than through institutionalized learning activities. Start by deciding what kind of learning you need. It is the adult learners themselves who control their own learning.

인간이 사회적 존재인 한, 필연적으로 학습하는 존재(Homo Eruditio)일 수밖에 없다. 성인 학습자에게 학 습과 배움은 학령기의 교육과는 다른 의미일 것이다. 이 연구에서는 성인 학습자의 배움과 그 의미가 무엇에서 비롯되는지 탐색하고자 했다. 이를 통해 성인 학습자들의 배움에의 열망과 동기, 참여요인이 무엇인지를 밝혀 보고, 무형식 학습(informal learning)의 의미를 찾아보고자 했다. 삶의 과정은 배움의 과정이다. 사람에게 저마다의 흔적이 남는다면 그것은 배움의 흔적일 것이다. 성인 학 습자는 제도교육을 통해 형성된 자리 위에서 각자의 학습과 배움을 구성한다. 배움은 사람의 타고난 본성이면 서 학습된 사회적 속성이다. 배움은 사람들이 일상에서 관계를 재정립하고 의미를 찾으며, 자기실현의 도약과 그 의미를 재구성하는 가치를 가진다. 어떤 성인들은 제도화된 학습활동이 아니라 무형식 학습으로 새롭게 배 움을 시작한다. 시작은 자신에게 어떤 학습이 필요한지를 결정하는 것부터다. 자신의 배움을 통제하는 것은 성 인 학습자 자신이다.
