The purpose of this study is to understand the meaning of the experience of digital sex crime monitoring group through narrative inquiry. The participants of the study were five cyber surveillances, and based on data such as in-depth interviews, dialogues, questionnaires, and field notes for eight months from December 2021 to July 2022, the experiences and perceptions of cyber surveillance were explored. As a result of the narrative inquiry, 4 categories and 9 subcategories were derived. First, it was shown that the seriousness of digital sex crime and the sense of duty for prevention were the motives of the activity. Second, as a category of the realities of digital sex crimes that have penetrated into everyday life learned through surveillance activities, diversification of digital devices, adverse effects on adolescents, and sex crimes in the structure of encouraging equality were discussed. Third, as a category of grievances in the process of monitoring team activities, there was a sense of helplessness, discomfort, and exhaustion after knowing the prejudice and sexual crime situation around the monitoring team activities. Finally, as a category of meaning and expectation of cyber surveillance team activities, it was found that it is necessary to reward the continuous activities of the surveillance team, change the perception of oneself and the surrounding people, and social support system. Through the results of this study, the implications for the reality of cyber sex crimes, the preparation of countermeasures, the spread of sound digital sex culture, and the education of correct gender sensitivity were discussed.

본 연구는 사이버 감시단의 성범죄 모니터링 역할에 대한 중 요성을 우리 사회가 인식하지 못했다는 것에 착안하여 사이버 감시단을 알림과 동시에 감시단 활동 확대를 통해 사회적 지지 체제와 올바른 성인식 개선을 위해 시작하였다. 이에 본 연구는 내러티브 탐구를 통해 디지털 성범죄 근절을 위한 사이버 감시 단들의 모니터링 활동 경험과 의미를 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 사이버 감시단 5명을 대상으로 2021년 12월부터 2022년 7월까지 약 8개월간 심층면담, 대화, 질문지, 현장 노트 등의 자 료를 토대로 사이버 감시단들의 모니터링 활동 경험과 인식을 살펴보았다. 내러티브 탐구 결과, 4개의 상위범주와 9개의 하위 범주가 도출되었다. 첫째, 감시단 활동의 계기를 표현한 ‘감시단 이라는 옷을 입다.’범주로 디지털 성범죄의 심각성과 예방에 대 한 사명감이 활동 계기로 나타났다. 둘째, 감시단 활동을 통해 알게 된 ‘일상까지 침투한 디지털 성범죄의 실태’의 범주로 디지 털 기기의 다변화, 청소년에 대한 악영향, 블평등 권력구조에서의 다양한 디지털 성범죄에 관해 이야기되었다. 셋째, ‘감시단 활 동 과정에서의 고충’에 대한 범주로 감시단 활동에 대한 주변의 편견과 성범죄 실태를 알고 난 후의 무력감과 불편함, 소진 등이 나타났다, 마지막으로 ‘사이버 감시단 활동의 의미와 바램’의 범 주로 신고의 효과와 자신과 주변인의 인식 변화가 감시단의 지 속적인 활동 이유로 나타났으며, 사회적 지지체계 등 대책 마련 의 필요성이 과제로 제기되었다. 본 연구 결과를 통해 사이버 성 범죄의 현실과 대책 마련 및 건전한 디지털 성문화 확산 및 올바 른 성인지 감수성 교육을 위한 시사점을 논의하였다.
