To find effective measures to prevent recidivism as the recidivism rate of juvenile probation increases, this study attempted to empirically examine the risk factors that increase the possibility of recidivism and the protective factors that lower the possibility of recidivism. To this end, the data of 707 people entered into the Korea Probation Information System were analyzed through hierarchical regression analysis by dividing the factors affecting the number of probation experiences into risk factors and protective factors. As a result of the analysis, the more exposure to risk factors, the more probation experience, and the more protective factors, the less probation experience. And it was identified that the effect of risk factors on the increase in the number of probation varies depending on whether or not the protection factors are retained. Through these results, We suggest using the network system for probationers, revitalizing the parents education order, academic support of juvenile probationers, motivation for pro-social friendships, family intervention and networking with local community organizations, and use of motivation-enhancing interview techniques.

본 연구는 소년 보호관찰대상자의 재범률이 증가함에 따라 효과적인 재범방지대책 을 모색하고자 재범가능성을 낮추는 보호요인과 재범가능성을 높이는 위험요인을 실 증적으로 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 보호관찰정보시스템에 입력된 707명의 데이터를 기 준으로, 보호관찰경력횟수에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 보호요인과 위험요인으로 구분 하여 위계적 회귀분석을 통해 분석하였다. 분석결과, 위험요인에 많이 노출될수록 보 호관찰경력이 많아졌고, 보호요인을 많이 갖고 있을수록 보호관찰경력이 적은 것으 로 나타났다. 또한, 위험요인이 보호관찰횟수 증가에 미치는 영향은 보호요인 보유 정도에 따라 달라짐을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과를 통해 보호관찰대상자 관계망 시스 템 활용, 보호자교육명령제도의 활성화, 소년대상자의 학업 지원, 친사회적 교우관계 형성을 위한 동기부여, 가족단위 개입 및 지역사회기관과의 연계, 동기강화 면담기법 의 활용 등을 제언하였다.
