Ijae Hwang Yun-seok wrote various works including some 100 books of diary called Nango(亂藁), Isusinpyeon(理藪新編), Seongridaejeonjuhae(性理大全註解), Jajilog(資知錄), and Sangwijiyo(象緯指要). Most of these were destroyed in the fire that broke out in Heungdeok Gusu-dong in 1909, and only a few remain to date including Ijaenango and Isusinpyeon. Recently, the ownership of Ijaenango was changed, and an investigation was launched on Ijaenango and other writings by Hwang Yun-seok. We found out that the volume one through 47 of the diaries were written by Hwang Yun-seok, and there were other books that were edited under the title of Nango: one book of Pyeonghaehwangssisegye(平海黃氏世系), four books of Ijaeyeonbo(頤齋年譜), four books of Wonmunjeolcho(原文節草), one book of the royal court records, and one book of Jabji(雜識). We could confirm 62 books including a duplicate copy of four books of Isusinpyeon. If we define Ijaenango as a journal on daily life written in a diary format, the scope of Ijaenango can be narrowed to the book one through 47. A strategic review is necessary to decide whether an application to designate Ijaenango as national treasure should include only these 47 books or should include other writings such as Ijaeyeonbo and Isusinpyeon. Additionally, the contents of each book of Ijaenango need to be examined concretely to clearly understand the value of Ijaenango as historical records.

이재 황윤석의 저술은 일기인 『亂藁』 100여권을 비롯하여 『理藪新編』·『性理大全註解』·『資知錄』·『象緯指要』 등이 있었다. 그러나 1909년 흥덕 구수동에 큰 불이 나서 소실되어 지금은 『이재난고』와 『理藪新編』 등 약간의 저술만이 남아있다. 최근 『이재난고』의 소유권을 변경하는 과정에서 이재난고와 그의 저술에 대한 조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과 이재 황윤석이 직접 기록한 일기 1~47책 외에 『平海黃氏世系』(1책), 『頤齋年譜』(4책), 『原文節草』(4책), ‘왕실조정기록’1책), 『雜識』(1책) 등이 모두 『亂藁』라는 제목으로 편집되어 있었으며, 복사본 『理藪新編』 4책을 포함하여 모두 62책을 확인하였다. 그 중 이재난고를 일기 형식으로 기록한 ‘종합적 생활일기’라고 규정한다면 『이재난고는 1책에서 47책까지로 그 범위를 한정할 수 있다. 『이재난고』를 국가지정 문화재(보물)로 신청할 때 이재난고(1~47책)만을 단독으로 신청할 것인지 아니면 『頤齋年譜』, 『理數新編』 등 다른 저술도 포함해서 신청할 것인지에 대한 전략적인 검토가 필요하다. 이와 더불어서 『이재난고』의 사료적 가치를 보다 명확하게 규명하기 위해서는 『이재난고』의 각 권마다 어떠한 내용들이 기록되어 있는지를 보다 구체적으로 파악할 필요가 있다.
