This study is a case study of designing and applying a drama therapy program to improve self-determination of adolescents in special classes and analyzing the results in-depth and qualitatively. For the self-determination of adolescents in special classes, the researcher designed a program that applied projective and psychodramatic techniques, centering on the role theory of Robert J. Landy. The subjects of this study were 5 students from a special class at a high school located in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, and the program was conducted once a week for a total of 11 times for 120 minutes. In order to derive the research results, data such as observation diaries, activity photos and videos, photos of creations, and transcripts were collected, and the researcher participated and observed directly with two assistant therapists. In addition, positive changes in self-determination could be confirmed through the responses of the study subjects observed for each session. The subjects of the study improved their spontaneity through the program, their self-expression increased, their positive perception of themselves increased, and their selfdetermined attitudes in the real life space. Therefore, this study suggests that the drama therapy program can promote positive changes in the improvement of self-determination of adolescents in special classes, and has value as clinical data for follow-up case studies of drama therapy to improve self-determination of adolescents in special classes. In addition, the purpose of the study is to design and apply theater therapy programs that fit the client's main appeal problems and characteristics to improve the self-determination of special-class adolescents, and to analyze the results qualitatively to find out the design and applicability of the program according to the treatment goals. This study is of research significance in that it dealt with the improvement of the self-determination of adolescents in special classes through theater treatment. In addition, the researcher intends to help develop and apply the continuous program of theater therapy through actual clinical cases that apply the theater therapy program.

이 연구는 특수학급 청소년의 자기결정력 향상을 위해 연극치료 프로그램을 설계 및 적용하고 그 결과를 심층적으로 질적 분석한 사례연구이다. 연구자는 특수학급 청소년의 자기결정력을 위해 로버트 랜디(Robert. J. Landy)의 역할이론을 중심으로 투사기법과 심리극기법을 적용한 프로그램을 설계하였다. 연구대상은 경기도 소재의 고등학교 특수학급 학생 5인으로 선정하였으며 프로그램은 주 1회, 120분간 총 11회에 걸쳐 진행되었다. 연구결과 도출을 위해 관찰일지, 활동사진 및 영상, 창작물 사진, 녹취록 등의 자료를 수집하였으 며 연구자는 치료사로서 보조치료사 2명과 직접 참여관찰 하였다. 이를 통해 도출된 연구결과, 특수학급 청소년의 자기결정력 향상을 위한 역할이론 중심 연극치료 프로그램의 적용 가능성을 확인하였다. 또한 회기별 관찰된 연구대상의 반응을 통해 자기결정력의 긍정적인 변화를 확인할 수 있었다. 연구대상은 프로그 램을 통해 자발성이 향상되었으며 자기표현력이 증가하여 스스로에 대한 긍정적인 인식이 높아졌으며 실제 생활공간에서의 자기결정적 태도가 나타났다. 따라서 이 연구는 연극치료 프로그램이 특수학급 청소년의 자기결정력 향상에 긍정적인 변화를 촉진할 수 있음을 시사하며, 특수학급 청소년의 자기결정력 향상을 위한 연극치료 후속 사례연구를 위한 임상자료로서의 가치를 가진다. 더불어 연구의 목적은 특수학급 청소년 의 자기결정력 향상을 위해 연극치료를 적용한 사례연구로 내담자의 주 호소 문제와 특성에 맞는 연극치료 프로그램을 설계 및 적용하고 그 결과를 질적으로 분석하여 치료목표에 따른 프로그램의 설계 및 적용 가능성을 알아보기 위함이다. 이 연구는 연극치료를 통해 특수학급 청소년의 자기결정력 향상을 다루었다는 점에서 연구적 의의를 지닌다. 또한 연구자는 연극치료 프로그램을 적용한 실제 임상적 사례를 통해 연극치료 의 지속적인 프로그램의 개발 및 적용에 도움이 되고자 한다.
