Korean citizens are entitled to vote at the age of 18, but youth politics in Korea remain marginalized and youth underrepresentation is severe. This study examines the problems of youth politics in Korea from the perspective of mutual prosperity and offers alternative solutions. The marginalization of youth politics is an issue that must be resolved from the perspective of mutual prosperity, which seeks sibling-ism politics, whereby people live as siblings with God as their parent, which is a politics that supports joint participation for everyone. To make this happen, those of the older generation must set the example as parents, teachers, and masters to those of the younger generation. They should first demonstrate true love. Likewise, it is necessary that the younger generation respects and follows the older generation. The paper emphasizes that youth politics should not be about representing the interests of youths. Instead, it should be politics dedicated to realizing a world of peace for the future of humankind. The paper proposes the following strategies for revitalizing youth politics in Korea: First and foremost, the Korean electoral system must be changed through the expansion of its proportional representation system as a precursor to the introduction of a sortition-based electoral system. Secondly, we should consider measures such as subsidizing the election expenses of youth candidates and expanding NGOs that promote youth participation in politics. Third, with the assistance of non-governmental organizations, a politician training program for youth politicians can be developed and implemented that aims to raise and reinforce young politicians who are committed to mutual prosperity.

만18세 선거권 부여에도 불과하고 한국의 청년정치는 소외되고 있으며 과소대표 성은 여전히 세계 최하위 수준에 머물고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 공영주의 관점에서 한국 청년정치의 문제를 바라보고 그 대안을 제안해보고자 하였다. 하늘부모님을 모 시는 형제주의 정치이자 공동참가의 정치를 추구하는 공영주의의 관점에서 볼 때 한국 청년정치의 소외는 해결되어야 할 문제이다. 이를 해결하기 위해 노년세대가 청년세대의 부모이자 스승, 주인의 위치에서 모범을 보이면서 먼저 참사랑을 주어야 하며 청년세대도 노년세대를 존경하고 따를 수 있어야 한다고 보았다. 나아가 청년 정치는 청년세대의 의사를 대변하는 정치가 아니라 인류의 미래를 위한, 평화세계 실현을 위한 청년정치가 되어야 함을 제시하였다. 한국 청년정치의 활성화를 위해서 는 첫째, 추첨식 선거제도가 도입되기 전 단계로 비례대표제가 확대되는 방향으로 선거제도가 변화되어야 하며 둘째, 청년세대의 선거비용을 국고보조금에서 지원하 는 방안과 청년정치 참여를 지원하는 NGO확대 방안이 모색될 수 있으며 셋째, 공영 주의적 가치관을 가진 청년정치인 양성과 충원을 위해서는 NGO와 연계하는 정치인 양성프로그램의 운영 등이 요청됨을 제안하였다.
