The purpose of this study was to examine music therapists’ experience of collaborative therapy in other fields. To this end, the researcher interviewed nine music therapists who experienced collaborative therapy in other fields for more than three months or 10 sessions. After analyzing interview data using a consensual qualitative research method, six domains and 25 categories were identified: ‘motivation to begin collaborative therapy’, ‘positive experience of collaborative therapy’, ‘difficult experience of collaborative therapy’, ‘effort for effective co-therapy’, ‘cotherapist’s perception about music therapy’, ‘music therapist’s professional growth’. Therefore, the results of this study emphasize an importance of collaborative therapy between music therapists and therapists in other fields. In addition, this study offers useful information for music therapists about practical application to enhance therapeutic effect for clients in collaborative therapy.

본 연구는 음악치료사의 타 분야 협력치료 경험을 고찰하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 연구자는 타 분야 협력치료의 경험이 3개월 이상 또는 10회기 이상인 음악치료사 9명을 대상으로 심층면담을 진행 하였다. 수집된 자료를 합의적 질적 연구 방법으로 분석하여 결과를 도출한 결과, ‘협력치료를 시작하 게 된 계기’, ‘협력치료의 긍정적 경험’, ‘협력치료에서 어려웠던 경험’, ‘효과적인 협력치료를 위한 노 력’, ‘타 분야 치료사의 음악치료에 대한 인식변화’, ‘음악치료사의 전문적 성장’ 총 6개의 영역이 도 출되었으며, 이에 25개의 하위 범주가 도출되었다. 연구 결과, 참여자들은 타 분야 협력치료 경험에서 다양한 치료적 접근을 통해 상호보완적인 치료 개입을 제공하였지만, 각자의 치료 영역에 대한 이해가 부족하여 어려움을 경험하였다. 이러한 과정에서 치료사들은 효과적인 협력치료를 진행하기 위해 서로 의 치료적 개입을 이해하고 수용하고자 노력하였으며, 음악치료에 대한 타 분야 치료사의 인식이 변화 된 것으로 드러났다. 본 연구는 음악치료사의 타 분야 협력치료 경험을 보다 심층적으로 탐색하였다는 데 의의가 있으며, 타 분야의 치료사에게 음악치료에 대한 인식 제고와 더불어 협력치료를 진행하고자 하는 음악치료사의 효과적인 개입을 위한 기초 자료를 제공하고자 한다.
