This study is to examine the implications of using photovoice, one of the qualitative research methods, for morality and education. To this end, I examined the origin and theoretical background of photo voice, and the purpose and method of photovoice. Based on this, I explored the implications of using photovoice in moral education. The implications of classes using photovoice in moral education presented in this paper are, first, the formation of moral values through reflective thinking, second, the formation of self-authorship consciousness, and third, cultivating will to social practice through critical thinking.

이 연구는 질적 연구방법의 하나인 포토보이스를 도덕과 교육에 활 용할 때 어떤 함의를 지닐 수 있는가를 고찰해 보기 위한 것이다. 이 를 위해 이 논문에서는 포토보이스의 기원과 이론적 배경을 살펴보고, 포토보이스의 목적과 방법에 대해 고찰한 후 이를 바탕으로 도덕과 교 육에서 포토보이스 활용의 함의는 무엇인지를 탐색해 보았다. 이 논문 에서 제시된 도덕과 교육에서 포토보이스를 활용한 수업이 가질 수 있 는 함의는 첫째, 성찰적 사고를 통한 도덕적 가치관 형성, 둘째, 자기 저자의식 형성, 셋째, 비판적 사고를 통한 사회적 실천의지 함양이다.
