Evaluating the 30 years the history of Korean churches’ mission among the migrant workers, its future mission strategies can be planned. During the ‘Industrial training system’ period the main mission was involved in human right issues and meeting the needs of the migrant workers. Later in the ‘Employment Permit System’ period, mission communities of each countries were developed and focused on Reverse Sending Mission. Later during the Covid-19 pandemic, the mission developed into virtual mission. Missional suggestions are that firstly we can meet the emotional and spiritual needs of the migrant workers. Secondly, we can develop mission communities according to country or ethnics where the gospel and the love of God can be shared. Lastly Korean churches can continue their mission with migrant workers even after they return to their home countries through the online meetings and social network services. As a result, the migrant mission done in Korea becomes a global mission. The migrant workers mission is a way to be part of God’s work in migrating world.

국내 이주근로자 선교가 30여년의 시간이 흐른 현시점에서 선교 역사 를 분석하여 이를 근거로 미래 선교를 계획하는 것은 이주근로자 선교의 발전을 위하여 필요한 작업이다. ‘산업연수생제도’시기에는 이주근로자들 의 인권 향상과 도움을 제공하는 선교가 이루어졌다. 그리고 ‘고용허가제’ 로 변경된 이후에는 자국민 선교공동체의 증가와 역 선교에 집중하는 선교 가 이루어졌고, 팬데믹 시기에는 비대면 온라인 모임과 SNS를 활용하는 선교로 이어지고 있다. 이런 시기별 선교 역사의 흐름 분석을 통하여 도출 된 미래 선교를 위한 선교적 제언은 다음과 같다. 고용허가제 시행으로 인 한 근로문제가 다소 해결된 상황에서 앞으로의 선교는 이들의 외적인 필요를 넘어 내적인 필요를 보고 이를 돕는 접근이 요구된다. 그리고 자국민 선교공동체가 나라(민족)별 선교를 위한 중추적인 중심센터가 되도록 이를 활성화하는 방안이 마련되어야 하며, 역 선교에 따른 귀국 이후에도 계속 이어지는 연속선교와 이에 온라인과 SNS를 활용하는 프로그램 논의가 있 어야 할 것이다. 제시된 선교적 제언을 토대로 미래의 이주근로자 선교의 방향을 세우고 구체적인 선교 전략을 모색하도록 한다. 이로써 국내에서 이루어지는 타문화권 선교가 세계선교로 이어지게 되는 것이다
