The online public sphere formed a new type of global village based on accessibility, transparency, universality and openness, and enabled democratic communication. Through the pandemic in 2020, the phenomenon of migration to the online world continued with the fervor over cryptocurrency and Metaverse. However, the online public sphere which is activated through contactless interaction with avatars and operated through governance of big data-based algorithms, is causing problems such as value bias, fake news, escapism, and depersonalized communication. Resulting polarization is inciting conflict and hatred among people of diverse political tendencies, generations, ethnic groups and even between men and women. Therefore, this study is attempting to define missional characteristics of the online public sphere and discover a communication methodology to undertake the mission of healing and reconciliation in the wounded online world of neo-tribalism and algorithms. This study specifically focuses on YouTube as a major online public sphere.

온라인 공론장은 접근성, 투명성, 보편성과 개방성을 바탕으로 새로운 형태의 글로벌 촌락들을 형성하고 민주화된 커뮤니케이션을 가능하게 했다. 2020년 이후 팬데믹을 통해 온라인 세상으로의 이주 현상은 가상화폐, 메타버스의 열풍까지 계속 이어지며 온라인 안에서 정체성, 경제생활, 커뮤니티를 구현해내는 또 다른 차원의 현실 확장과 이동을 가속화하고 있다. 하지만 비대면과 대리인격을 통해 활성화되고, 빅데이터 기반의 알고 리즘이라는 거버넌스가 만들어내는 온라인 공론장은 가치편향과 가짜뉴스, 현실도피와 탈인격적 소통 등의 문제를 야기하고 있다. 그 결과로 파생 된 양극화는 다양한 정치 성향, 세대, 인종이나 남녀 사이에 이르기까지 대 립과 혐오를 부추기는 현상으로 드러나고 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 대표적 인 온라인 공론장인 유튜브를 중심으로 신부족주의와 알고리즘의 역기능으로 인해 상처받은 온라인 세계의 치유와 회복을 위한 선교적 소통 방법 론을 모색하고 있다.
