Metaverse is a compound word of meta-, meaning the transcendence of the real and virtual, and -verse, meaning the world. It is derived from ‘Metaverse’, the name of the virtual world in the novel ‘Snow Crash’ published in 1992. These metaverses are becoming a part of natural life amid the daily changes triggered by COVID-19. Daily life and economic activities online, such as telecommuting, video conferencing, remote classes, mobile shopping, and home visits, are taking their place as a social custom after the post-COVID-19 era. Therefore, in this paper, metaverse related keywords and topics were analyzed using text mining techniques based on the collection of articles related to metaverse. As a result of the analysis, it was found that Metaverse is closely related to 'Platform', 'Business', 'Sogang University', 'Com2us', and 'Blockchain'. Through this, it is possible to combine trends using keywords and topic analysis that are currently attracting attention related to the metaverse.

메타버스는 현실과 가상이 합쳐진 초월을 의미하는 메타(meta-)와 세계를 뜻하는(-verse)의 합성어이다. 1992년 출간된 소설 ‘스노 크래시’속 가상세계 명칭인 ‘메타버스’에서 유래하였다. 이러한, 메타버스는 코로나19가 촉발한 일상의 변화속에서 자연스러운 생활의 일부가 되고 있다. 재택근무, 화상회의, 원격수업, 모바일 쇼핑, 집콕 관람 등 온라인을 통한 일상과 경제 활동은 포스트 코로나 이후의 사회 풍습으로 메타버스가 자리 매김을 하고 있는 상황이다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 메타버스와 관련된 기사를 수집하고 이를 바탕으로 텍스트마이닝 기법을 활용해 메타버스 관련 키워드 및 토픽 분석을 수행하였다. 분석 결과, 메타버스가 ‘플랫폼’, ‘사업’, ‘서강대’, ‘컴투 스’, ‘블록체인’과 밀접하게 연관되있음을 파악할 수 있었다. 이를 통해, 현재 메타버스와 관련되어 주목받고 있는 키워드와 토픽 분석을 활용한 트렌드 접목이 가능하다.
