There are eight subway stations in Ansan. With the opening of the Sinansan Line, the time distance between Ansan and Yeouido, Seoul, will be reduced to 30 minutes. As the travel time is shortened, it is expected that the influx of Seoul's population into Ansan will be possible. Through this, the transformation of Ansan's industrial economy will be faster. In Ansan, there is a natural tourist resource called Daebudo Island. Sihwa Lake is also erasing the epitome of past development pollution. Due to constant purification work, Sihwa Lake is now transforming into a resting place for migratory birds. Ansan aims to become an urban marine tourism leisure city. The future of Ansan will begin with advanced national industrial complexes, convenient transportation networks, and urban marine tourism leisure.

서울을 비롯한 수도권이 팽창하며 배후의 공업도시의 필요성이 증대되며 계획도시 안산시가 설계되었다. 이에 따라 안산시는 반월공단, 시화공단 등 2개의 국가 산업단지를 보유하고 있다. 2개의 공단이 국가의 동력으로 성장할 때, 안산시는 크게 발전하였다. 그러나 현재 2개의 공단은 상당히 노후화되었다. 규모 있는 기업 은 안산 이남으로 이전하였다. 이제 그 자리는 영세 기업이 차지하고 있다. 이에 따라 안산시 산업경제의 리모델링의 필요성이 끊임없이 제기되고 있다. 안산시는 노동력 기반의 산업 제조 현장을 첨단의 스마트 팩토리로 전환해야 하는 과제를 안고 있다. 안산시는 타 도시에 비해 더 섬세한 체계적인 교통 네트워크를 보유하 고 있다. 안산시에는 8개의 지하철 역이 있다. 신안산선의 개통으로 안산과 서울 여의도와의 시간 거리가 30분으로 단축된다. 이동시간이 짧아짐에 따라 서울 인구 의 안산 유입이 가능할 것으로 예상한다. 이를 통해 안산의 산업경제의 전환은 좀 더 빨라질 것이다. 안산에는 대부도라는 천혜의 관광자원이 있다. 시화호도 과거 개발 오염의 대명사를 지우고 있다. 끊임없는 정화 작업으로 이제 시화호는 철새들의 휴식처로 변모되고 있다. 안산은 도심형 해양관광레저 도시로 발돋움을 목표 하고 있다. 안산시의 미래는 첨단화된 국가산업단지, 편리한 교통 네트워크, 도심형 해양관광레저로부터 시작할 것이다.
