The purpose of this study was to derive necessary implications by applying and examining Foucault's characteristics of power to sport case(Samsung Fire Bluefangs). Study results and discussions were derived by dividing Foucault's power, power, and sport. First, in Foucault's power, related attributes and perspectives were examined. It was possible to derive that power was not possessed, but exercised, and inherent silence, and relational based on interaction. Next, in power and sport, Foucault's power attribute was applied to the case of Samsung Fire Bluefangs of professional volleyball team, and the results were derived based on the points and perspectives that can be presented. What Foucault is paying attention to is not the oppressive realm of power, but the mechanism of action through everyday interaction. Sport is in close contact with the power to control and tame individual thinking and behavior within the framework of order and discipline. With this approach, it was possible to derive that Samsung Fire Bluefangs of professional volleyball team could create a "submissive body" where their players became familiar with the rules and have a "hard mental strength."

본 연구는 푸코의 권력 속성을 스포츠 사례(삼성화재 블루팡스)에 적용, 고찰해 봄으로써 필요한 시사점을 도출하 는데 목적을 두었다. 연구결과 및 논의는 푸코의 권력, 권력과 스포츠로 구분하여 도출하였다. 먼저, 푸코의 권력에서는 관련 속성 및 시각에 관하여 살펴보았다. 권력은 가지는 것이 아니라 행사되는 것이고, 내재되어 있는 침묵적인 것이며, 상호작용에 기반한 관계적인 것이라는 것을 도출할 수 있었다. 다음, 권력과 스포츠에서는 프로배구단 삼성화재 블루팡스 사례에 푸코의 권력 속성을 적용, 제시 가능한 논점 및 시각을 중심으로 결과를 도출하였다. 푸코가 주목하고 있는 부분은 권력의 억압적인 영역이 아니라 일상적 상호작용을 통한 작용기제이다. 스포츠는 질서와 규율의 틀 안에서 개인의 사고와 행동을 통제하고 길들이는 권력과 밀접하게 닿아있다. 이러한 접근에 따라 프로배구단 삼성화재 블루팡스는 소속 선수들 이 규칙에 익숙해지는 ‘순종적인 몸’을 만들고 ‘단단한 정신력’을 갖게 될 수 있음을 도출할 수 있었다.
