This study the effects of dental hygienists in adults over 20 years of age study of determinants were surveyed and analyzed using the SPSS WIN18.0 program to obtain significant results (p<.05). Average dental hygienist image was 3.65 points, high scores ‘Rewarding job', ‘Ggreat contribution to improving national oral health'. Average of dental hygienist image determinants is 3.94, high scoresm ‘If friendly', ‘If takes good care of the patient's position'. Image was high when student, visited the dentist within a year. Oral health behavior and image are positively correlated, Result of regression analysis, Y (dental hygienist image) = .054 + .277 (occupation) + .183 (oral health behavior) + .717 (dental hygienist image determinants). Overall, to improve the image of dental hygienists, efforts by dental hygienists for correct oral health behavior are required, and systematic measures should be sought in consideration of various variables.

본 연구는 20대 이상 성인의 치과위생사 이미지에 미치는 결정요인을 설문조사하여 SPSS WIN18.0 프 로그램으로 분석하여 유의성 있는 결과를 얻었다(p<.05). 치과위생사 이미지 평균 3.65이며 ‘보람 있는 직업.’, ‘국 민구강건강 향상에 기여하는 바가 크다.’가 가장 높았다. 치과위생사 이미지 결정요인 평균 3.94, ‘친절한 경우’, ‘환 자 입장을 잘 배려 시’ 높았다. 치과위생사 이미지는 학생, 1년 내 치과를 방문한 경우 높았다. 구강건강행태와 치 과위생사 이미지는 양의 상관관계이며 회귀분석 결과 Y(치과위생사 이미지)= .054 + .277(직업) + .183(구강건강 행태) + .717(치과위생사 이미지 결정요인)로 분석되었다. 총괄적으로 치과위생사의 이미지 향상을 위해 올바른 구 강건강행태를 위한 치과위생사의 노력이 필요하며 다양한 변수들의 고려한 체계적인 방안 모색이 이루어져야 것이다.
