This study examined the research trends with a focus on the academic papers released from 2010 to 2022 on multicultural soldiers policy. As a result of examining the current status by year, field, and research subject, research has been conducted since the revision of the Military Service Act that allowed young people from multicultural families to join the army, but not actively so. Research fields also diversified from the creation of the environment and preparation directions to policy proposals ahead of the first multicultural soldier's enlistment, but the need to expand the field of research has been identified. Lastly, research subjects ranged from executives to warriors, but most of them centered around inmates rather than multicultural soldiers. It is expected that the analysis results of this paper will play a positive role in setting future research directions for multicultural soldiers that are still in progress.

본 연구는 2010년부터 2022년까지 연구된 다문화장병 정책 학술논문을 중심으로 연구의 경향을 살펴보았다. 연도별, 분야별, 연구 대상별 현황을 살펴본 결과 다문화 가정의 청년들의 입대를 허용한 병역법 개정을 기점으로 이후부터 연구가 진행되어 오늘에 이르렀으나 연구가 활발하지 못한점을 확인했다. 연구 분야 또한 최초 다문화 장병 의 입대를 앞두고 환경조성과 준비방향부터 정책적인 방안 제시 등으로 다변화되고 있었으나 여전히 확대될 필요성 을 확인했다. 마지막 연구대상면에서는 간부에서 용사에 이르기까지 다양했으나 대부분이 다문화 장병 대상보다는 수용자 중심의 연구인점이 그 한계로 확인되었다. 이러한 본 논문의 분석결과가 현재도 여전히 진행중인 다문화 장병에 대한 향후 연구방향설정에 긍정적인 역할을 하길 기대한다.
