If Christian spirituality encompasses all areas of a Christian’s life, a Christian’s spirituality must effectively exert influence even on one’s social roles. Until now, most discussions on Christian education for spirituality have tended to remain at the individual level. This study, conducted to overcome this limitation, reveals an educational mechanism that promotes the expansion of a Christian’s spirituality into one’s social relationships, and suggests practical educational plans according to that mechanism. First, as the initial basis of an educational mechanism that can promote the social expansion of personal spirituality, a new dynamic mechanism of personal spirituality called the ‘living membrane of faith’ is presented. As a second basis, Kim Hyun-sook’s concept of ‘postconventional Christian identity,’ which is a medium of social influence of personal spirituality, is introduced. This study goes on to show that both the first and second bases have one thing in common; they function like an open ‘door.’ The educational mechanism by which a person’s spirituality leads to social expansion is through the points of contact of ‘relationship,’ ‘openness,’ and ‘equality’ which these two foundations share. And according to this educational mechanism, the following contents are proposed. The first is the principle of balance of the contents of education for spirituality. The second is the addition of ‘contemplative listening’ as a group activity to each educational content. And the third is the three-dimensional personal network that spreads social influence in the lives of learners as well as practical educational contents and methods that can be practiced in local churches through that network. This study analytically shows with practical contents and methods of education how the relationship with God, which is generally known as the core of personal spirituality, can be effectively extended to social relationships with fellow humans, through two new concepts: the ‘living membrane of faith,’ and the ‘self as authentic person’ associated with the ‘postconventional Christian identity.’

기독교 영성이 그리스도인의 전 삶의 영역을 포괄하는 것이라면 개인의 영성은 사 회적 역할에까지 효과적으로 영향력을 발휘해야 하는데, 그동안 대부분의 기독교 영 성 교육의 논의는 개인적 차원에 머무르는 경향이 있었다. 이 한계를 극복하기 위해 이루어진 본 연구는 한 기독교인의 영성이 사회적 관계로 확장되는 것을 적극적으로 촉진할 수 있는 교육 기전을 제시하고, 그 기전에 따른 실용적 교육방안들을 제안한 다. 먼저, 개인 영성의 사회적 확장을 촉진할 수 있는 교육 기전의 첫 번째 기초로서 ‘믿음의 생명막’이라는 새로운 개인 영성의 역동적 기전을 제시한다. 두 번째 기초로 서는 개인 영성의 사회적 영향력의 매체가 되는 김현숙의 ‘탈인습적 기독교인 자아정 체감’ 개념을 소개한다. 그리고나서 이 첫 번째 기초와 두 번째 기초가 모두 열리는 ‘문’과 같은 기능을 하는 공통점을 갖는다는 것을 분석적으로 밝힌다. 바로 이 두 가 지 기초가 동일하게 갖고 있는 바, 문과 같은 기능을 하는 ‘관계성,’ ‘개방성,’ ‘평등성’ 이라는 접촉점들이 개인 영성의 사회적 확장 기전의 통로이며, 이 통로를 교육의 내용과 교수-학습과정으로 활성화하는 것이 교육의 기전이다. 밝혀진 이 교육 기전에 따른 영성교육의 실제 방안으로서는 다음과 같은 내용들을 제안한다. 첫째는 영성교 육 내용의 영역들을 균형있게 구성하는 것이고, 둘째는 각각의 교육영역에 ‘관상적 경 청’ 성격의 통합적 대화모형을 추가하는 것이고, 셋째는 학습자들의 삶에서 사회적 영 향력 전파를 가져올 수 있는 입체적인 인격적 관계망을 드러내 주고 지역교회들에서 그 관계망에 따라 실천할 수 있는 실제적 영성교육 내용들과 방법들을 제시해 주는 것이다. 이 연구는, ‘믿음의 생명막,’ 그리고 ‘탈인습적 기독교인 자아정체감’을 수직적 으로 확장한 ‘인격적 자아’라는 두 가지 새로운 개념을 통해서, 일반적으로 개인 영성 의 핵심이 된다고 알려진 하나님과의 관계가 어떻게 효과적으로 동료인간과의 사회적 관계로 확장될 수 있는지를 실제 교육 내용들과 방법들을 통해 입체적으로 보여준다.
