This paper focused on the so-called ‘Soji Type Sijo(所志型時調)’ that newly appeared in the poetry survey in the late Joseon Dynasty. It was intended to grasp the background of the emergence of this type of Sijo, the formal characteristics of the work, and the thematic tendency, and to explore its meaning in the Sijo history context. ‘Soji Type Sijo’ can be said to be a very special case in that ‘Soji(所志)’, a style of historical manuscripts, appeared in literary history by causing Genre-relations with the Korean poet ‘Sijo’ as cases of litigation increased in the late Joseon Dynasty and ‘Soji’ became widely common. ‘Soji Type Sijo’ is generally in the form of ‘petition-measure’, and in terms of the notation language, the Korean-Chinese-language mixed style is combined with Korean borrowing writing system such as Yidu(吏讀) and Gugyeol(口訣). In addition, petitions for statements or wishes in mind are linked to the subjective trend of the work, which is in line with the overall context of the Sijo history in the late Joseon Dynasty. As such, ‘Soji Type Sijo’ shows a special phase in the history of literature, such as the historical manuscript format and the genre negotiation of Korean poetry. At the same time, it is possible to see that Sijo was created and distributed in various literary-non-literary styles and influences within the literary field. In addition, it gives a glimpse of new aspects in Sijo's form, notation language system, and rhetorical methods.

본고는 조선 후기 시조사에 새롭게 등장한 이른바 ‘소지형 시조(所志型時調)’에 주목하여, 이러한 유형의 시조 작품이 등장하게 된 배경과 작품의 형식적 특성 및 주제적 경향을 파악하고 나아가 시조사적 맥락에서 그 의미를 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 소지형 시조는 조선 후기로 넘어오면서 소송의 사례가 증가하고 여기에 동원되 는 ‘소지’ 형식이 널리 보편화되면서, 고문서의 한 양식인 소지가 국문시가인 시조 와 갈래 교섭을 일으키며 문학사에 등장한 사례라는 점에서 문학사적으로 특별한 경우라 할 수 있다. 소지형 시조는 대체로 ‘청원-처분’의 형식을 띠며, 표기 언어 측면에서는 국한문체에 이두･구결 같은 차자표기가 결합되어 있다. 또한 심적 지향의 진술이나 소망태의 청원이 작품의 주제적 경향과 연결되어 있는데, 이는 조선 후기 시조사의 전체적인 흐름과 변화 추이와도 그 궤를 같이하고 있다. 이처럼 소지형 시조는 고문서(古文書) 형식과 국문시가의 갈래 교섭이라는 문학사 의 특수한 국면을 보여주는 동시에, 시조사의 측면에서도 시조가 문학장 안에서 다양한 문학적-비문학적 양식과 영향 관계 속에서 창작되고 유통되었음을 알 수 있게 한다. 또한 시조 작품의 형식, 표기언어 체계, 수사 방법 등에서 새로운 단면을 엿보게 한다.
