The purpose of this study is to select the improvement of the professionalism of airport security screening personnel as a research subject and to consider the appropriateness of job training and field work. To this end, based on the Aviation Security Act and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Aviation Security Manual, the field application form of Gimpo International Airport workers was examined. In addition, interviews were conducted with field workers and airport management officials. The research results derived from this study are as follows. First, airport security guards have a strong will to improve their job skills and grow into experts according to the conversion to regular jobs. Second, in order for the regular employment policy in the aviation security field to be operated stably, an effective working system and various support programs must be provided. Therefore, administrative agencies should actively promote measures to strengthen the expertise of airport security screening personnel, such as the introduction of a qualification system in the field of aviation security. In addition, for safe and efficient airport operation, operating institutions must prepare for With-Corona and Post-Corona by reviewing the working system, educational institution management, and education programs as a whole.

본 연구는 공항보안검색요원의 전문성 향상을 연구대상으로 선정하고, 직무교육 및 현장근무의 적절성을 고찰하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 항공보안법령 및 국제민간항공기구(ICAO)의 항 공보안메뉴얼 등을 바탕으로 김포국제공항 근무자들의 현장 적용 형태를 살펴보았다. 그리고 현장근 무요원들과 공항운영관계자들을 대상으로 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 본 연구에서 도출한 연구결과는 다 음과 같다. 첫째, 공항보안검색요원들은 정규직 전환에 따라 직무 능력을 향상시키고 항공보안분야 전문가로 성장하고 싶은 강한 의지를 가지고 있다. 둘째, 항공보안분야의 정규직 정책이 안정적으로 운영되기 위해서는 효과적인 근무시스템 도입과 다양한 지원프로그램 등이 구비되어야 한다. 따라서 행정기관은 항공보안분야 자격제도 도입방안 등 공항보안검색요원들의 전문성을 강화할 수 있는 방안들을 적극적으로 추진해야 한다. 또한 안전하고 효율적인 공항운영을 위해 운영기관들 은 근무시스템, 교육기관 관리, 교육프로그램 등을 전반적으로 검토하여 위드코로나 및 포스트코로 나를 준비해야 한다.
