Xi'an China located in northwestern China, which is farther from Korea than the eastern coast of China. Both exchanges with Korea and research on Korean studies began late, but many studies have been released. In order to examine these studies, this paper examined the regional characteristics and academic research power of Xi'an. Overall, Xi'an has excellent research power, but there is a lack of researchers majoring in Korean studies. Looking as a large area, 90% of Korean studies in Xi'an are concentrated in the humanities sector, and only 10% belong to the science and engineering sector. Then the research were examined by eight subsectors: education, humanities and arts, economic trade, policy and law, society, science and technology, construction, and environmental medicine. There are the most studies related to education and humanities and arts in Korean studies. This can be interpreted as the active exchange between universities in Xi'an and Korea, and the influence of the Korean Wave culture on Xi'an. In addition, the presentation time of Korean studies was analyzed to examine the trend of change. It can be seen that the presentation quantity of Korean studies in Xi'an is affected by the political and economic intimacy of the two countries. The humanities field is greatly influenced, while the science and engineering field is not very influenced. In the future, political and economic intimacy between the two countries is returning to the pre-2013 stage, so Korean studies in Xi'an will maintain enthusiasm in the short term and gradually return to the pre-2013 stage.

중국 서북 지역에 위치하는 서안 지역은 중국 동부 연해 지역보다 한국과의 거리가 상대적으로 먼 지역이라서 한국과의 교류와 한국학에 대한 연구 모두 늦게 시작됐지만 많은 연구물이 나왔다. 본고는 이들 연구물을 살펴보기 위해 우선 서안의 지역적 특징 및 학술 연구력 상황을 살펴봤다. 전체적으로 서안은 우수한 연구력을 갖추고 있지만 한국 학을 전공으로 하는 연구자가 부족한 실정이다. 서안지역의 한국학 연구물을 큰 영역으로 인문학계열과 이공계열로 살펴보면, 서안지역의 한국학 연구는 90%가 인문학계열에 집중 되어 있고, 10%만 이공계열에 속한 연구다. 하위 분야로 교육, 인문 예술, 경제 무역, 정책 과 법, 사회, 과학기술, 건설공사, 환경 의료 등 8개의 분야로 다시 나누어서 각 분야별로 연구의 역점 및 그 시사점을 살펴봤다. 한국의 교육과 인문예술에 관련된 연구물이 가장 많다. 이는 그 동안 서안과 한국의 대학교 간 교류가 활발히 진행된 것과 한류문화가 서안 지역에 미친 영향으로 해석할 수 있다. 그리고 한국학 연구물의 발표시간을 분석하여 그 변화의 추세를 살펴봤다. 서안지역의 한국학 연구물의 발표수량은 양국의 정치, 경제적 친밀도에 영향을 받는 것을 볼 수 있다. 인문학계열은 많은 영향을 받는 반면, 이공계열은 별로 영향을 안 받는다. 향후 양국의 정치, 경제적 친밀도는 2013년 이전의 단계로 돌아갈 것으로 예상하면서 서안지역의 한국학 연구도 단기적으로 열정을 유지하다가 차츰 2013 년 이전의 단계로 돌아갈 것으로 예상된다.
