Various social deviance phenomena due to the maladjustment of North Korean defectors to South Korean society became an important concern of our society, and the most problematic thing in the process of settlement in South Korean society was the increase in criminal activity due to maladaptation.
Among the criminal activities of North Korean defectors, drug crimes account for the highest rate, so systematic inspection and management of North Korean defectors' drug use is urgently needed, and related education is needed. In addition, it is necessary to solve social problems through careful and meticulous management of drug use by North Korean defectors.
Therefore, based on previous studies related to drug crimes of North Korean defectors, trends in drug crimes of North Korean defectors were investigated. Through this, the problem with North Korean defectors drug crimes is that they do not have a system and improvement system that can verify the North Korean defectors' entry process. By suggesting the substantialization of adaptation education that North Korean refugees can adapt to it was attempted to find practical support measures such as preparing a social system for North Korean refugees to settle in South Korea and lead a better life.

북한이탈주민의 한국 사회 정착 부적응으로 인한 다양한 사회일탈 현상들이 우리 사회의 중요한 관심사가 되었고, 남한사회 정착과정 속에서 가장 문제가 되는 것은 부적응으로 인한 범죄행위가 증가하였다.
북한이탈주민의 범죄행위중 마약범죄의 비율이 가장 높은 편으로 나타나 북한이탈주민의 마약류 사용에 대해 체계적인 검사와 관리가 절실하며 관련 교육이 필요한 실정이다. 그리고 북한이탈주민의 마약류 사용에 대해 세심하고 면밀한 관리를 통해 사회적 문제를 해결할 필요가 있다.
이에 북한이탈주민의 마약류 범죄와 관련한 선행연구를 기반으로 하여 북한이탈주민의 마 약류 범죄 동향을 살펴보았다. 이를 통해 북한이탈주민의 마약류 범죄의 문제점은 북한이탈 주민의 입국과정부터 검증할 수 있는 체계와 개선시스템을 갖추지 못한점을 들 수 있으며, 북한이탈주민의 마약류 범죄의 예방대책은 교육제도를 개선하여 북한이탈주민이 적응할 수 있는 적응교육의 내실화 등을 제시하여 북한이탈주민이 남한에 정착하여 더 나은 생활을 할 수 있도록 사회 시스템을 마련하는 등의 실질적인 지원방안을 모색하고자 하였다.
