The healthcare industry, which is drawing attention as a next-generation growth industry, emits greenhouse gases through various activities, and rising global temperatures are also directly or indirectly affecting human health. The fundamental solution to climate change, which is directly related to health, is to identify the level of individual awareness related to climate change and to help raise individual consciousness and value through education and training and to have professional responsibility. This study investigated the awareness and action of healthcare industry experts on climate change. An online survey was conducted on 117 healthcare industry experts to find out the correlation between awareness of climate change and action, as well as the different awareness from several types of institution and research field. Through this, it emphasizes the need to develop educational programs focusing on environmental sustainability and climate change and strengthen the government's financial support, and proposes the need for follow-up research on educational content for healthcare industry experts. The results of this study show that the basis for the healthcare industry to participate in climate change mitigation is convincing, and in particular, it is expected to be an opportunity to strengthen the positive areas of the healthcare industry on climate change.

차세대 성장산업으로 주목받고 있는 헬스케어 산업은 다양한 활동을 통해 온실가스를 배출하고 있으며 전 지 구 온도상승은 인간 건강에도 직·간접적 영향을 미치고 있다. 건강과 직결된 기후변화에 대한 근본적인 해결책은 기 후변화와 관련된 개인의 인식 수준을 파악하고 교육과 훈련을 통해 개인의 의식과 가치를 높이며 전문적인 책임을 갖 출 수 있도록 돕는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 헬스케어 산업 전문가들의 기후변화 인식과 대응행동을 조사하였다. 소속 기관 유형별과 연구 분야별에 따른 차이를 알아보았고, 기후변화에 대한 인식과 대응행동 간의 상관관계를 알아보고 자 헬스케어 산업 전문가를 대상으로 설문조사지 배포·분석을 진행하였다. 이를 통해 헬스케어 산업의 환경적 지속가 능성과 기후변화에 초점을 맞춘 교육 프로그램 개발과 정부의 재정적인 지원을 강화할 필요성을 강조하고 아울러 헬 스케어 산업 전문가를 위한 교육 콘텐츠 개발에 관한 후속 연구의 필요성도 함께 제안하려 한다. 본 연구의 결과는 헬스케어 산업이 기후변화 완화에 동참해야 하는 근거가 설득력 있음을 보여주고 있으며 특히 헬스케어 산업이 기후 변화에 미치는 긍정적인 영역을 강화할 수 있는 계기가 될 것으로 기대한다.
