The focus of this article is not on how disasters are reproduced. The purpose of this article is to figure out where the textures of certain emotions summoned only through disasters come from. In Korea's reality, where fantasy products that pursue perfect virtualization are treated as peripheral genres, what disaster products prepared for a detour was to secure reality through true stories. In other words, the method of establishing a new narrative by equating disaster narratives with those of reality to secure reality and constructing new narratives within them was the method that Korea’s disaster products mainly take. Ironically, the memory of the real invaded the virtual and devised a new structure. The problem of survival in disaster narratives is also connected with the establishment of a new ethics. It is difficult to dismiss the phenomenon of people who have thoroughly followed the order of reality, dreaming of the end of the world without context one day, as an exceptional deviation. As is well known, disasters customarily take the paralysis of social systems as the starting point of disasters. In the midst of this, the survivors fall into inability to move and communicate. Naturally, the subjects of disasters become obsessed with the relationship between themselves and others and explore the method of survival in the middle. It is necessary to view this situation as a new ethical experiment to deal with disasters rather than as an unpleasant scene following the collapse of ethics. This article focuses on the meaning of disasters in the cultural context of Korea in , , , and . Although many texts have been returned, what this article focuses on is the context of public acceptance of disasters in Korea. Coincidentally, we were able to confirm that the memories of fear that humans felt in front of disaster remain traumatic for us now. The human response to the disaster of disconnection and isolation is a record of wounds that can be interpreted only through the local context of Korea beyond the universal.

이 글에서 주목하는 것은 재난의 재현이 어떠한 방식으로 이루어지는 지에 대한 것이 아니다. 재난을 통해서만 소환되는 특정한 감정들의 질감 은 어디에서 연유하는 것인지를 파악하는 것이 이 글의 목적일 것이다. 완벽한 가상을 추구하는 판타지물이 주변 장르로 취급받는 한국의 현실 에서 재난물이 우회로를 위해 마련한 것은 실화를 통한 리얼리티의 확보 였다. 재난서사를 현실의 그것으로 등치시켜 리얼리티를 확보하고 그 안 에서 새로운 서사를 구축하는 방식이 한국의 재난물이 주로 취하는 방식 이었던 셈이다. 아이러니하게도 실재의 기억이 가상을 침범하여 새로운 구조를 고안해낸 셈이다. 재난서사에서 생존의 문제는 새로운 윤리의 구축과도 맞닿아 있다. 철저하게 현실의 질서를 따라오던 사람들이 어느 날 맥락없이 세계의 종말 을 꿈꾸는 현상을 예외적인 일탈로 치부하는 어렵다. 주지하다시피 재난 물은 관습적으로 사회시스템의 마비를 재난의 시작점으로 잡는다. 이 가 운데에서 생존자들은 이동과 통신의 불능에 빠지게 된다. 자연스럽게 재 난물의 주체들은 자신과 인접한 타인의 관계에 집착하게 되고 그 가운데 에서 생존의 방법론을 탐색한다. 이 상황을 윤리의 붕괴에 따른 불쾌감 어린 장면으로 이해하기보다는 재난에 대처하는 새로운 윤리적 실험으 로 볼 필요가 있다. 이 글은 <지하철도의 밤>, <시그널>, <물 속 골리앗>, <지금 우리 학교 는>은 한국의 문화적 맥락에서 재난이 가지는 의미에 집중했다. 많은 텍 스트를 돌아왔지만 이 글이 주목하는 것은 한국에서 재난이 대중적으로 수용되는 맥락이었다. 공교롭게도 재난 앞에 선 인간들이 느꼈던 공포의 기억이 지금 우리에겐 트라우마로 남아 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 단절과 고립이라는 재난 앞에 선 인간의 반응은 보편을 넘어 한국이라는 로컬의 맥락을 경유해야만 해석 가능한 상처의 기록인 셈이다.
