This study is a prior study aimed at formative research that is used in cultural contents. While studying the theory of tourism souvenirs, which is the scope of the case, we witnessed many cases in which the criteria for classifying tourism memorabilia were misused. It was also found that the classification criteria for tourist souvenirs were biased toward external characteristics. In order to solve this problem, we first tried to correct the case of misuse of classification criteria, and then to solve the biased research trend through the content criteria of tourism souvenirs, namely content classification criteria. Through prior research and complementary research, Beverly Gordon's classification criteria were adopted, and the in-depth interview method with experts was adopted as a qualitative research method. Through the process of applying and classifying the case according to Gordon's classification criteria, we intend to present the following criteria for tourism souvenir content: ①Piece-of-the-rock souvenirs ②Pictorial images ③Symbolic shorthand ④Cultural content souvenirs ⑤Local product souvenirs ⑥Iconic industrial souvenirs

본 연구는 문화콘텐츠에 활용되는 조형 연구를 목 적으로 이뤄진 선행 연구이다. 사례 범위인 관광기 념품에 관한 이론을 연구하던 중, 관광기념품 분류 기준이 오용되고 있는 사례를 다수 목격하였다. 그리고 관광기념품의 분류 기준이 외형적 특성에 편중 된 사실 또한 알 수 있었다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 우선 분류 기준 오용 사례를 바로잡고, 다음으로 관광기념품의 내용적 기준, 즉 콘텐츠 분 류 기준 연구를 통해 편중된 연구 경향을 해소하고 자 하였다. 선행 연구와 보완 연구를 통해 Beverly Gordon(이하 고든)의 분류 기준을 채택하였으며 질 적 연구 방법으로 전문가와의 심층인터뷰 방법을 채 택하였다. 고든의 분류 기준으로 사례에 적용하여 분류하는 과정을 통해 관광기념품 콘텐츠 기준을 다 음과 같이 제시하고자 한다. ①자연기념품 ②시각적 이미지 ③상징기념품 ④토 산기념품 ⑤문화원형 창작소재 기념품 ⑥상징 산업 기념품
