This paper examines the global start-up innovation developed by Honam Entrepreneurs until he succeeded and investigates entrepreneurship included global start-up. The results of this paper are as follows. First, the Honam entrepreneurs who left home played a pivotal role in driving the economic growth of their own companies as well as the economic development of their home countries by constantly demonstrating start-up innovation and entrepreneurship. In addition, this paper finds that it contributed to raising the status of Korea by practicing the spirit of sharing, exchanging Korean culture, and creating a foundation for peaceful unification. Second, although government-level policy support is important for a country’s economic development, this paper also shows that individual entrepreneurs’ start-up innovation and innovative entrepreneurship greatly contribute to national economic development just like the outgoing Honam entrepreneurs did. Conclusively this paper implies that in order for Honam entrepreneurs to join the rapidly changing international economy to maintain corporate growth and help the Korean economy, it is necessary to break away from the past corporate management methods and apply innovative business models.

본 논문의 목적은 창업과 기업가정신의 이론을 제시하여 출향 호남인 기업인들 의 성공을 거두기까지 전개한 글로벌 창업혁신을 알아보고 그 밑바탕에 내포된 기 업가정신을 파악하는 데 있다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 출향 호남 기업인 은 끊임없이 창업혁신과 기업가정신을 발휘하여 개인회사의 경제적 성장뿐만 아 니라 모국의 경제발전을 견인하는 한 축을 담당하였다. 또한, 나눔 정신의 실천, 한국문화의 교류 등을 통해 한국의 위상을 높이는 데 이바지한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 한 나라가 경제적으로 발전하기 위해서는 정부 차원의 정책적 지원도 중요 하지만, 출향 호남 기업가들이 보여주었던 것처럼 기업가 개개인의 창업혁신과 혁 신적 기업가정신이 국가경제발전에 크게 이바지한다는 사실을 보여주고 있다. 결론적으로 출향 호남 기업인은 급변하는 국제경제의 흐름에 합류하여 기업 성 장을 지속해서 유지하고 한국 경제발전에 도움이 되기 위해서는 과거의 기업경영 방식을 탈피하여 새롭게 등장하고 있는 혁신적인 비즈니스모델을 도입 및 적용하 려는 노력이 필요하다는 과제를 던져주고 있다.
