Buddhism and Confucianism also contributed to the development of capitalism in Japan, just as Protestantism developed Western modern capitalism by providing an ethical basis for human beings. By injecting religion and ideology into economic activities, a practical ethical view was established, and based on this, the traditional Japanese professional ethics was established. Based on the historicity of the spirit of capitalism that began to form in modern Japanese society, this study aims to reveal the reality of the spirit of capitalism in modern Japan. The specific analysis target is Eiichi Shibusawa's 'ideology of moral economic unity', which is called 'the founder of Japanese capitalism' and 'the father of Japanese capitalism' in Japanese society. Through his moral economic ideology, I would like to analyze the characteristics and historical significance of Japanese capitalism in the period of the formation of modern society.

프로테스탄티즘이 인간의 일관된 윤리적 기초를 제공하여 서구의 근대자본주의를 발전시 킨 것처럼 불교나 유교적 기반이 일본적 자본주의 발전에 기여했다. 경제활동에 종교나 사상 이라는 이데올로기를 주입하여 실천적 윤리관을 확립하고, 윤리적인 생활태도에 기반한 직업 활동을 인생수행(諸業卽修行)이라는 철학으로 귀결시켜 일본인의 전통적인 직업윤리를 확립 하는데 기여한 점은 주목할 필요가 있다 이에 본고에서는 근세일본사회에 형성되기 시작한 자본주의 정신의 역사성을 바탕으로 근 대일본의 자본주의 ‘정신’의 형성과 실체를 밝혀보고자 한다. 구체적인 분석대상으로는 일본 사회에서 ‘일본적 자본주의 창시자’, ‘일본자본주의의 아버지’로 불리는 시부사와 에이치(渋沢 栄一)의 ‘도덕경제합일사상’론이다. 논어에 근거하여 부의 근원은 ‘인의도덕(仁義道徳)’이라는 논리를 전개한 그의 사상을 통해 일본근대사회 형성기 일본적 자본주의 정신의 특성과 사적 의미를 실증적으로 분석해 보고자 한다.
