The purpose of this study was to examine the relative importance of demanded elements for the proper meaning making of national soccer and baseball athletes. To this end, this study surveyed for 2 months from March 2021 to May 2021 with AHP questionnaire that was arranged using Delphi Expert surveys. The following is the main conclusion from the derived research findings. The main agents that should work towards the proper meaning formation of national soccer and baseball athletes were classified by the importance order including the athletes(0.287), association (0.252), media(0.239), and fans(0.221). The main factors of the athletes were private life management during their career(0.515) and sportsmanship(0.300). The main factors of the association were providing consistent standards to select national athletes(0.274) and a transparent presentation of the national athlete selection process(0.241). The main factors for the media were reporting objective facts(0.274) and forming a positive image of national athletes who failed to win a medal by sharing personal stories about them(0.241). The main factors of the fans were to maintain a critical perspective about the media(0.284) and give sustained support to the athletes(0.283). As a result, the most important required elements in each area for the meaning formation of national soccer and baseball athletes were the national athletes' private life management, the association's provision of consistent standards to select national athletes, objective reports of the media, and fans' critical perspectives about the media.

본 연구는 올바른 축구·야구 국가대표 의미 만들기를 위한 요구 요소의 상대적 중요도를 알아보기 위해 실시한 연구이다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 2021년 3월부터 2021년 5월까지 총 2개월에 걸쳐 전문가 델파이 조사 결과 토대로 구성된 AHP설문지를 통해 조사를 실시하였다. 도출된 연구 결과를 통한 주요 결론은 다음과 같다. 올바른 축구·야구 국가대표 의미 만들기를 위해 노력해야 하는 주체는 크게 선수(0.287), 협회(0.252), 미디어(0.239), 팬(0.221)요인 순으로 중 요도가 도출되었다. 세부적 선수요인에서는 프로시절부터의 사생활 관리(0.515), 스포츠맨쉽(0.300) 등 이 주요 요인 으로 나타났다. 협회 요인은 국가대표 선발의 일관된 기준 마련(0.274), 국가대표 선발 과정의 투명한 공개(0.241) 등이 주요 요인으로 나타났다. 미디어 요인에서는 객관적 사실 위주의 보도(0.274), 메달 획득 못한 선수 스토리를 통한 국가 대표 선수 긍정적 이미지 형성(0.241) 등이 주요 요인으로 나타났다. 팬 요인에서는 미디어에 대한 비판적 시각 견지 (0.284), 선수에 대한 지속된 지지(0.283) 등이 주요 요인으로 나타났다. 결과적으로 축구·야구 국가대표 의미 형성을 위한 영역별 필요 요소는 국가대표 선수들의 평소 사생활 관리, 협회의 국가대표 선발을 위한 일관된 기준 마련, 미디어의 객관적 사실 보도, 팬의 미디어에 대한 비판적 시각 견지가 가장 중요한 요소임을 알 수 있었다.
