This study specifically examines how soccer players become interested in and participate in sports betting. In other words, it confirms the perception of professional ethics and cheating as a professional athlete and considers it in a phenomenological way from various perspectives, such as the internal situation and external environment of athletes in a situation of relatively exposure to sports betting temptation. The composed questions consisted of structured and unstructured questions through prior deliberation by experts, and in-depth interviews were conducted with seven former and current K League National League players. The sampling method used the snowball sampling method, and data analysis was conducted with open coding and axis coding. The results of the categorized contents were school days, accommodation life, living environment, economic environment, personal relationship, and psychological situation, and results and discussions were composed of a total of six large themes. First, it was suggested that education and ethics education for athletes' countermeasures are necessary even if they are exposed to illegal sports betting. Second, it was suggested that the necessity of providing information that can distinguish between illegal sports betting and legal sports betting. Third, it was suggested that even if participating in illegal sports betting, it is necessary to link with experts for self-examination and initial treatment. The results of this study showed that not only professional soccer players but also everyone needed education, and that social issues were recognized and changes were needed.

이 연구는 축구선수가 스포츠베팅에 어떻게 관심을 가지게 되고, 참여하게 되는지를 구체적으로 알아보는 것이다. 즉, 직업운동선수로서 직업적 윤리와 부정행위에 대한 인식을 확인하고, 상대적으로 스포츠베팅 유혹에 노출된 상황에서 선수들이 가진 내적 상황과 외부적 환경 등 다양한 시각에서 현상학적 방법으로 고찰하는 것이다. 연구방법은 전문가들과 회의를 통해 예비항목을 구성한 후 예비면담을 통해 질문의 세부적인 요인을 구성하였다. 구성된 문항은 전문가들의 사전 심의를 거쳐 구조화된 질문과 비구조화된 질문을 병행하여 전현직 K리그 내셔널리그선수 7명을 심층면답하였다. 표눈덩 이표집법을 이용하였고, 자료분석은 개방코딩과 축 코딩으로 진행하였다. 범주화된 내용의 결과를 학창시절, 숙소 생활, 생활환경, 경제적환경, 인적관계, 심리적 상황으로 총 6가지의 큰 주제로 결과와 논의를 구성하였다.
