This paper examines Ji Xiaolan, who was then the Minister of Rites and was in charge of tributary diplomacy in the Qianlong-Jiaqing period, contacts with the literati envoys of the Joseon Dynasty mainly the Hong clan and the Seo clan from the age of 71 to about 15 years before his death. From the perspective of the content and form of communication, it is mainly about conversation by writing, singing to each other with poems, poetic collections, correspondence, gifts, books, etc. In Ji Xiaolan's direct contacting with as many as a dozen Korean literati, these forms are common and have achieved good results. Ji Xiaolan, who is more than old and highly respected, greeted the Korean envoys who came to Yenching with courtesy, affection, praise, gifts, and wholehearted assistance, which reflected the sincerity and beauty of human nature among officials of a major country. He even prepared poetry and ritual gatherings and cultural feasts, making the Korean literati feel like a spring breeze and unforgettable. It’s precisely the charm and significance of cultural exchange which educates the people with ritual and music based on “the diplomacy of poetry and etiquette”. In the long process of Confucian civilization and the formation of the Chinese character culture circle, Oriental culture has formed a profound and attractive cultural character with its humanistic connotations of benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, wisdom, trustworthiness and the gentle, kind, respectful, thrifty, modest etiquette order. This is like a magnet, forming an adsorption effect on the surrounding ethnic groups. It’s the “To educate the people with ritual and music” that China pursues when it communicates with neighboring regions, which is emphasized in the conclusion of this paper. The cultural exchange of “educating the people with ritual and music” takes the order of etiquette and poetry and diplomacy as the main connotation form, aiming to build a refined and beautiful world of utopia and put forward the beautiful vision of building a community of human civilization and even a community with a shared future.

본고는 건가(乾嘉) 연간 청조 예부상서(禮部尚書)인 기윤(효람)이 71세부터 세상을 떠날 때 까지 약 15년 동안 연행 온 조선조 문인사신들, 주로 홍양호를 비롯한 홍씨, 서형수를 비롯 한 서씨 두 가문들과의 교유(交逰) 내용과 형식을 살펴보았다. 기윤과 10여 명에 달하는 조선 두 가문 문인들과의 교유에 있어 교유 내용의 다양함에 못지않게 교유 형식도 필담문답(笔谈 问答), 시가창화(詩歌唱和), 시문집서(詩文集序), 서신왕래, 선물증여, 서적 대리구입 등 다양하고 보편화되어 있어 특수한 교류 성과를 거두었다. 이것은 청조와 조선조 학인 간 교류의 한 모 습을 보여주면서 동아시아 문명 소통과 상호 전파의 한 단면을 입증했다. 칠순 고령인데다 덕망이 높은 기효람이 조선왕조의 연행사들을 예의를 갖춰 정성스럽게 대접하고 시문 집 서문도 지어주며 선물을 증여하고 희귀한 서적도 구입해주는 등 최대한 도와주는 소위는 청나라 한족 관원의 정성과 인간성을 보여주었을 뿐만 아니라 또한 그들을 위해 준비한 시례(詩禮) 모임과 문화성연 (文化盛宴)이 되었다. 기효람과 조선 문인들은 이로써 모두 봄바람과 같은 따스한 문화의 매력을 상호 체 험할 수 있었고 평생토록 잊지 못하는 좋은 추억으로 간직하게 되었다. 이는 바로 시례 외교를 통한 문화 와 덕성을 서로 전포하는 문화교류의 매력이자 의미이다. 기나긴 유가문명과 한자문화권의 형성과정에서 동방문화는 인의예지신(仁義禮智信）의 인문적 내함과 온량공검양(溫良恭儉讓)의 예의질서로 농후하고 매 력적인 문화 품격을 이루었고 자석(磁石)처럼 중국을 주변 민족들과 긴밀하게 연결시켜 일체동감 효과를 이루게 하였다. 이는 바로 본고가 결론적으로 강조하는 동방 민족들 간의 지역 교류에 있어 정감 교융을 지향하는 상호 간의 문화와 덕성의 전포 형태다. 이와 같은 평등과 존종을 바탕으로 한 예의질서와 정감 교융을 바탕으로 한 시부외교(诗赋外交)로 이루어진 문화교류는 상대방에게 믿음직하고 사랑스러우며 존 경할만한 형상을 보여줌으로써, 우아하고 아름다운 대동 세계의 구축을 지향하고 인류 문명공동체, 나아가 운명공동체 건설의 가능성과 비전을 제시하고 있다.
