근대 라디오방송 연구들은 초창기 라디오방송이 어떻게 방송지역이 결정되어 전국 방송과 지역 방송의 관계가 어떠한 것이었는지를 연구하였다. 그리고 지역 방송이 어떻게 변화하고, 그것이 어떠한 요인에 의해서 초래되었는지에 대해서 제도·정책 면을 파악하고 있다. 이러한 연구들은 사회과학적 연구로서 사실 규명을 목적으로 하는 것이다. 물론 이러한 연구가 선행이 되어야 한다. 그러나 향후 근본적이고 본질적인 부분인 인식론적 부분에 관한 연구도 진행해야 한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 동경방송국(JOAK)의 자기조직화(self-organization)와 라디오 드라마에 관해서 고구하였다. 동경방송국은 타 방송국의 기준(基準)이 되었으며 네이션과 로컬 방송국의 양가적 역할을 하였다. 또한 라디오 드라마의 전형적인 면을 제시한 󰡔아무도 안 보이게 되는 고개(皆んな見えなくなる峠)󰡕은 JOAK의 현상 모집에서 입선한 작품으로 그때까지의 라디오 드라마의 형태 중 한 가지 전형을 제시했다고 말할 수 있겠다.

近代的なラジオ放送研究では、初期のラジオ放送がどのように放送地域が決定され、全国放送と地域放送の関係がどのように変化したかを研究した。社会科学研究は、社会科学研究として、事実を特定することを目的としている。もちろん、これらの研究は、しかし、先行すべきである。しかし、認識論的側面に関する研究は、根本的かつ本質的な側面を進めるべきである。 そこで、東京放送局の自己組織化とラジオドラマを考察し、東京放送局は他の放送局の基準となり、ネーションとローカル放送局の両面的役割を担った。ラジオドラマの典型的な側面を示唆した｢誰も見ない頭｣は、JOAKの現象募集から入選した作品で、それまでのラジオドラマの形の1つです。ある種の典型的なものが提示されたと言えるでしょう。
