Non-Destructive Welding Point Detection and Welding Strength Analysis Techniques of Cylindrical Secondary Battery for Vehicles Based on Eddy Current Testing
초록
영어
Non-destructive testing is widely used throughout industry because it allows testing without damage of the test object. Eddy current is a technique that allows high-speed inspection of conductive materials without direct contact between the inspection test piece and the sensor. Therefore, it has the advantage of being able to indirectly inspect a part that is difficult to contact with the sensor. In this paper, we propose a non-destructive test using eddy currents to analyze the results of laser welding in the welding process of cylindrical batteries. First, in order to detect the position of the welding point in the cylindrical battery used in the experiment, the voltage induced by the eddy current is measured in a circular shape along the outer circumference of the cylindrical battery. The point at which the voltage has a minimum becomes the closest point to the welding point, and the secondary measurement is performed in the radial direction including the closest point. In the second measurement, the minimum becomes the voltage at the welding point. As a result of the experiment, it was confirmed that the voltage value of the defective product had a lower distribution of about –57.65 mV compared to the good product having an voltage of –57.5 mV.
