In order to scaling specialized dental hygienist system, we intend to conduct a perception survey on dental hygienists and provide basic data for preparing a professional dental hygienist model. The study surveyed dental hygienist who worked dental clinic in B&K city, and their responses were statistically analysed using SPSS ver 23.0. Most dental hygienists were found to be interested in the scaling specialized dental hygienist system, and the scope of work should also be expanded when implementing the scaling specialized dental hygienist system. It is considered positive to promote a scaling specialized dental hygienist system to emphasize the expertise and independence of dental hygienists. In addition, The study is expected to be used as a basic material for policies on the introduction and supplementation of the dental hygienist system (scaling), and dental hygienists and the government need various efforts to improve the quality of scaling and public oral health It is thought that a follow-up study will be needed.

스케일링 전문치과위생사제도를 도입하기 위해 치과위생사에 대한 인식조사를 실시하고 전문 치과위생사 모델을 구축하기 위한 기초자료를 제공하기 위하여 시행하였다. B시와 K도의 치과에서 근무하는 치과위생사를 대 상으로 설문조사를 시행하였고, SPSS 23.0을 이용하여 통계 분석하였다. 대부분의 치과위생사가 스케일링 전문치 과위생사 제도에 관심을 갖고 있는 것으로 나타났으며 스케일링 전문 치과위생사 제도 시행 시 업무 범위도 확대 해야 한다고 하였다. 결론적으로 치과위생사의 전문성과 자립성을 강조하기 위해 스케일링 전문 치과위생사 제도 를 추진하는 것은 긍정적으로 평가된다. 더불어 본 연구가 차후 치위생관리과정(스케일링) 전문치과위생사 제도 도입 및 보완에 대한 정책의 기초자료로 활용되기를 기대하며 스케일링에 대한 질 향상과 국민구강보건의 향상을 위해 치과위생사와 정부의 노력이 필요하며 다양한 후속연구들이 필요할 것으로 사료된다.
