This study analyzed the learning experience of students, professor-student interaction, and competency improvement in a structural relationship. The purpose of this study is to empirically verify competency-based education by clarifying the execution route that leads to the improvement of students' competencies. The research target was 406 students from K University located in Chungcheongbuk-do, and NASEL of the Korea Education Development Institute was used as the measurement tool. The active and collaborative learning experience of university students directly influenced the improvement of abilities. Looking at the crazy total effect of capacity building, the standardization factor (β) was even higher at .384 when mediated by professor-student interaction than the direct effect of active learning experience. The results of this study suggest that the active and collaborative learning experience of college students must play a central role in the newly ubiquitous ability center of gravity education of universities.

본 연구는 역량중심교육의 구성요소로써 학생들의 학습경험과 교수-학생 상호작용, 그리고 역량향상을 구조적 관계로 분석했다. 학생들의 능동적이고 협력적인 학습이 교수와의 상호작용 및 역량향상에 미치는 영향과 학생들의 역량향상을 이끌어내는 수행경로를 밝힘으로써 역량중심교육을 실증적으로 검증하는 게 본 연구의 목적 이다. 충청북도에 소재한 K대학교 재학생 406명을 연구대상으로 하였으며, 측정도구는 한국교육개발원의 NASEL 을 활용하였다. 연구결과, 대학생의 능동적·협력적 학습경험은 직접적으로 역량향상에 영향을 미쳤다. 역량향상에 미친 총효과를 보면 능동적 학습경험의 직접효과보다 교수-학생 상호작용을 매개로 할 경우 표준화계수(β)가 .384 로 더 높았다. 본 연구의 결과는 최근 대학들이 새롭게 편재하고 있는 역량중심교육에서 대학생의 능동적·협력적 학습경험이 중추적 역할을 해야 한다는 점을 시사한다.
