Hybrid Class Using Metaverse Platform
초록
영어
The demand for various changes in the educational environment and content changed the classes to a mixed form of non-face-to-face and face-to-face. In this environment, instructors are making various attempts to immerse students in class. Among these attempts, a new tool called Metaverse provides the advantage of a virtual space where learners and instructors can interact. In this paper, based on the subject of engineering design, a mixed method class was conducted in the Gathertown environment where learners and instructors can interact. The theory class was conducted face-to-face, and group assignments and discussions were conducted using a non-face-to-face Gathertown. The non-face-to-face classes using Gathertown showed high levels of immersion and satisfaction, and it was found that the class tools and methods were suitable for equipping future talents with problem-solving skills, collaboration skills, and digital capabilities.
