초록

영어

To The ‘Relationship Narrative’ means a human relationship between ‘I’ and ‘You’ that has a strong influence on the life of ‘I’. This study aims to explore the ‘Relationship Narrative’ through a doctoral dissertation researching the narrative of marriage immigrant women, and to explore the future-oriented direction of a multicultural society suggested by the relationship narrative. From 2009 to 2021, thirty-two (32) doctoral dissertations which is clearly containing the human relationship between ‘I’ and ‘You’ in the title, such as ‘family, children, couple, parents, parents-in-law, childbirth, nurture, motherhood and community’ were selected to investigate the ‘Relationship Narrative’. Including overlapping relationships, twenty-one (21) ‘Mother Narrative’ which refers to the relationship with children, eight (8) ‘Wife Narrative’ which refers to the relationship with husband, and seven (7) ‘Daughter-in-law Narrative’ which refers to the relationship within family members were analyzed. In addition, the ‘Homeland Community Narrative’, which refers to the relationship within the immigrants of the homeland, was recently published in two dissertations. Most importantly, the ‘Immigrant Narrative’, which means the relationship with the settler, was expressed in most of the ‘Relationship Narratives’. For example, in the narrative of marriage immigrant women, the ‘Mother Narrative’ forcing motherhood in Korea culture has occupied a large part, and the ‘Immigrant Narrative’ was found in the most of the ‘Mother Narrative’. Rather than “Am I a good mother?”, the question “Am I a good mother as a immigrant?” has dominated the lives of marriage immigrant women, and these ‘Immigrant Narrative’ were also found in ‘Wife Narrative’ and ‘Daughter-in-law Narrative’. In conclusion it was confirmed that the position of immigrants is being projected into the life of marriage migrant women viewed through the ‘Relationship Narrative’. Hence, the ‘Relationship Narrative’ shown in the narratives is expected to be an important indicator for understanding the lives of immigrants and foreseeing the future of Korean multicultural society.
