Artificial intelligence(AI) is developing rapidly, and AI is not just developing technology, but is bringing about changes in various aspects of society. There is a clear difference between the existing citizenship and the citizenship required in the AI era, so AI education should be aimed at all citizens living in the AI era, and not only principles and utilization but also learning values and attitudes. In this study, the knowledge necessary to live in the AI era was viewed as AI literacy and the criteria for AI literacy were derived. In addition, a teaching and learning model was constructed to improve AI literacy. Through one project, 'Explained artificial intelligence(XAI)' was selected as the main topic that can improve AI literacy overall. An XAI program was constructed based on the AI literacy criteria derived in this study, which was applicable to elementary school students and confirmed the improvement of AI literacy.

인공지능은 빠른 속도로 발전하고 있으며 인공지능은 단순한 기술의 발달이 아니라 사회 전반의 다양한 측면에서 변화를 가져오고 있다. 기존의 시민성과 인공지능 시대에 요구되는 시민성은 확연히 차이가 있으며 이에 인공지능 교육은 인공지능 시대를 살아갈 전 시민을 대상으로 해야 하며, 원리나 활용뿐 아니라 가치와 태도에 대한 학습도 함께 이루어져야 한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 인 공지능 시대를 살아가는 데에 필요한 소양을 인공지능 리터러시로 보고 인공지능 리터러시의 준거를 도출하였다. 또한 인공지능 리 터러시 향상을 위하여 지식, 기능, 태도 관련 교수‧학습모형을 구성하였다. 하나의 프로젝트를 통하여 인공지능 리터러시를 전반적 으로 향상 시킬 수 있는 주요 주제로 ‘설명 가능한 인공지능’을 선정하였다. 본 연구에서 도출한 인공지능 리터러시 준거를 바탕으 로 설명 가능한 인공지능 프로그램을 구성하였고 이는 초등학생을 대상으로 적용 가능하며 인공지능 리터러시 향상을 확인하였다.
