Lifelong education and learning are being emphasized as preparation and preparation for an aging society. This aspect reminds us that education and learning can be more and more important factors for the elderly in the current knowledge society. Therefore, as a factor for the importance and continuity of lifelong learning, understanding the elderly population and seeking coexistence between generations is an important task that can be preceded. In this flow, this paper drew attention to some motifs in the movie to confirm the role and direction of the lifelong learning city and to explore the importance of generational exchange. Ben and Jules, the two main characters in the movie, appear awkward like a generational conflict in reality, but gradually develop into a cooperative relationship by interacting in the same space. Also, Ben's attitude and behavior in this process leave a interpretation as part of the tacit knowledge emphasized by Michael Polanyi. The limitations are also clear. by analyzing the movie rather than a real case, it leaves the concern of simply viewing the real case. Nevertheless, this article intends to share the value of generational exchange and the viewpoint that the experience of old age can be viewed as a kind of knowledge.

고령 사회에 대한 준비 및 대비의 작업으로 평생교육과 학습이 강조되고 있다. 특히 지금과 같은 지식 사회 속에서 이처럼 교육과 학습은 노년층들에게 더욱 중요한 요소 가 될 것이다. 따라서 평생학습의 중요성과 그 지속성을 위한 요소로써 노령 인구에 대 한 이해와 세대 간 공존을 모색하는 일은 선행할 수 있는 중요한 작업이다. 이 같은 흐 름 속에서 본고는 영화 <인턴> 속 몇몇 모티프들을 통해 학습의 역할과 방향성을 확 인하고, 동시에 세대 교류의 중요성을 탐구하였다. 모티프 분석을 통해 발견된 영화 속 두 주인공 벤과 줄스는 현실의 세대 갈등처럼 어색한 모습을 보이지만 점차 같은 공간 에서 교류하면서 협력하는 관계로 발전하게 된다. 또한 이 과정에서 벤이 보여주는 태 도와 행동은 단순히 노인의 경험이 아닌, 마이클 폴라니가 강조했던 암묵적 지식의 일 환으로서 해석할 수 있는 여지를 남긴다. 이를 통해 세대 교류의 중요성과 노인의 경험 을 새롭게 바라볼 수 있는 입장을 환기시킬 수 있다. 한계점 역시 분명하다. 현실의 사 례가 아닌 영화 텍스트를 분석함으로써 실제의 경우를 단순하게 볼 우려를 남기고 있 기 때문이다. 따라서 관련한 실제 적용이나 구체적 기획과는 그 내용면에서 상이함을 가질 수 있다. 그럼에도 이 글은 세대 교류의 가치와 노년의 경험을 지식의 일종으로 바라볼 수 있다는 관점을 공유하고자 한다.
