This study focused on analyzing the changes and characteristics of the dependency relationship between Korea and China for 20 years from 2000 to 2020. The target of analysis is 9 manufacturing industries, and the analysis is based on the international input-output model. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that the interdependence relationship between Korea and China was deepening despite the global expansion of protectionism and trade frictions between the US and China since the mid-2010s. In particular, it was observed that Korea and China are highly dependent on each other in the same industries such as electrical, electronic and precision machinery, transportation machinery, metal products, general machinery, and chemical products. This can be interpreted to mean that the structure of division of labor between the two countries has become closer over the past 20 years.

본 논문은 2000년에서 2020년까지 20년 동안 한국과 중국의 의존관계 변화와 특징을 분석하는데 초점을 두었다. 분석대상은 제조업 9개 산업이며, 국제산업연관모형을 토 대로 실증분석을 전개하였다. 분석결과, 과거 20년 동안 한국과 중국 양국의 의존관계 는 지속적으로 심화되고 있는 것으로 관찰되었다. 특히 2010년대 붕반 이후 확산되고 있는 세계적 보호무역주의 팽창과 미중간 무역마찰 등에도 불구하고, 한중간 상호 의존 관계는 더욱 강화되고 있음이 확인된 점은 시사하는바 크다고 할 수 있다. 산업별로 보면 한중 양국은 전기ㆍ전자ㆍ정밀기계, 수송기계, 금속제품, 일반기계, 화학제품 등 동일한 산업에서 상대국에 크게 의존하고 있는 것으로 관찰되었다. 이는 지난 20년 동 안 양국간 분업구조가 더욱 긴밀해졌음을 의미한다고 해석할 수 있다.
