With the rapid development of science, the manufacture, storage, and transportation of various dangerous substances (unknown substances) increased. These materials have risks such as explosive and flammable depending on the conditions. As a study to investigate this risk, a fire broke out on December 30, 2020, at about 240kg of Water reactive chemical (aluminum phosphide fusion material, anti-grain corrosion storage material) stored outside the ship's deck. In the early stages of the fire, he tried to choke with foam waterproofing, but he collected and studied data related to Water reactive chemical and naturally ignited substances due to the fire experience of spontaneous ignition of the fumigant covered under the foam. Through this study, it is intended to be used as a scientific fire investigation data to identify measures to prevent and extinguish fires that may occur in the process of transporting and handling fumigants, fire mechanisms, and their risks.
