This study was conducted to find a way to develop a dance unit in the 3rd grade of elementary school by applying a creative thinking technique. The development process is analysis, decision, and application. In the analysis process, the national curriculum, knowledge structure, learners, and learning environment were analyzed, and in the decision process, sequence, learning goals, and learning activities were determined. In the application process, the developed teaching and learning process plan was used as a pilot application for one class. Afterwards, the improved unit was presented after the researcher's reflection and reflection. The whole process of the study was reviewed by an expert group to ensure the integrity. The dance unit developed according to the study process has a total of 13 lessons, and six types of creative thinking techniques are applied. The main activities consisted of understanding the meaning and value of dance, creative expression, recognition of expression elements and movement language, and improvisational expression. Recommendations based on the research results are as follows. First, dance units with various approaches should be developed. Second, creativity study within the physical education subject should be expanded beyond the dance unit to other areas.

이 연구는 창의적 사고기법을 적용하여 초등학교 3학년 무용 단원 개발 방안을 모색하고자 수행하였다. 개발과정은 분석, 결정, 적용의 단계로 진행되었다. 분석과정에서는 국가교육과정, 지식구조, 학습자, 학습환경을 분석하였고 결정과정에서는 계열성, 학습목표, 학습활동을 결정하였다. 적용과정에서는 개발된 과정안을 활용해 1개반에 시범 적용하였다. 이후 연구자의 반성과 성찰을 거쳐 개선된 단원을 제시하였다. 연구의 전 과정은 전문가집단에 의해 검토되어 진실성을 확보하였다. 연구과정에 따라 개발된 무용 단원은 총 13차시이며 여섯 종류의 창의적 사고기법 이 적용되었다. 주요활동은 무용의 의미와 가치의 이해, 창의적으로 표현하기, 표현 요소와 움직임 언어의 인식, 즉흥표현 등으로 구성하였다. 연구결과를 바탕으로한 제언은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 다양한 접근의 무용 단원이 개발되 어야 한다. 둘째, 체육교과 내에서의 창의성 연구가 무용 단원을 넘어 타 영역까지 확대되어야 한다.
