영어
Purpose : The purpose of the study is to find the effect of emotional labor and verbal violence experience on the turnover intention in clinical nurses. Methods : The subjects were 1,234 nurses who signed on a written consent of the research, working in the Gyeonggi provincial general hospitals. Total 1,021 data were used for the final analysis. Results : The score for the total emotional labor was 3.47±0.54 out of 5 points, the number of verbal violence by the patients or caregiver was 19.46 ±32.12, and the turnover intention was 2.55±0.96 out of 5 points, wherein the factors influencing turnover intention were emotional expression frequency (β=.13, p<.001), verbal violence from doctors(β=.10, p =.001), emotional expression caution (β=.07, p =.049). It is confirmed that the frequency of emotional expression, indiscreet emotional expression and experience of verbal violence have a significant effect on the turnover intention. Conclusion : In order to decrease the turnover intention of clinical nurses, it is necessary to reduce the frequency of emotional labor and emotional dissonance, and to prevent verbal violence from doctors and colleagues. Therefore, it is essential to prepare measures to manage emotional labor and reduce verbal violence in medical institutions.
