Study of the Japanese sentence-ending particle “kke” -the use of “suru-kke”-

This paper aims at revealing the features of the Japanese sentence-final particle “kke”, focusing on the grammatical and semantic features. “kke” co-occurs with noun predicate sentences which end with “dakke”, or with verbal predicate sentences which end with the past-tense of the verb such as “shita-kke”. “kke” has the usages such as exclamation, recollection, and question. And this paper has pointed out that the verb “suru-kke” can be used only when the event of the sentence has present tense and it has a question usage, although the previous researches says “suru-kke” should not be allowed to use.
